Who Do You Love?

Soyeon was sitting in the now empty waiting room. She had tears streaking down her cheeks from crying over the thought that Wonho would take Hani back instead of giving her the chance to show him what real love is supposed to feel and look like. She sniffled as she wiped her eyes as she saw Kihyun walking towards her. "Is he awake?" she asked him, her voice raspy from the crying.

‘Yes but don’t cry, he kicked the bitch out of his room. Let’s go see him so you can kick his ass.’

Wonho was staring at the wall when they came back in, his thoughts stilled on Hani. His eyes were red and his lips were a bit cut up from him biting them so lost in his own thoughts and memories.

Soyeon smiled weakly but nodded as she wiped her tears away before standing up and followed Kihyun back to the room. As soon as she walked in and saw Wonho, she moved closer to him. "I'm so glad that you are okay. But I'm mad at you. I dont know what I would do if I lost you."

‘I’m sorry Soyeon. I shouldn’t have done that. I just got jealous and I kept drinking and drinking then I thought I could get home. I know I have no right to be jealous because of the type of relationship we have. I’m sorry.’

"I forgive you, but next time can we just talk things out instead of drinking away our problems. I'm just glad you didnt take that bitch back. I would have been even more hurt." She told him, holding his uninjured hand in hers.

‘Yes we can and I would never take her back. She’s the reason I won’t let you in. She hurt me really bad and I just gave up on love. I told myself that love was stupid and it was shit they sell you on tv and in books. I built up a wall around my heart to protect myself. I don’t want to be hurt like that again.’

"I know that she had hurt you, but I hate that you wont open your heart to me or let me have a chance to show you that love is real. I wish you loved me back." She said softly, cuddling closer to him.

‘I do love you back Soyeon...I do love you...’ he trailed off as he held her against him. Pain coursed through parts of his body but he ignored it to hold her close. He looked at Kihyun who looked at Soyeon with such love. His heart clenched from what he was going to say, ‘but Kihyun let you in. He loves you. He’ll treat you like you should be treated. I don’t know if I can...’ he knew that Kihyun saw the pain in his eyes and they both heard it in his voice.

Soyeon frowned but looked at Kihyun. She knew that he loved her and part of her loved him back. He was what she wanted in a guy, but she also knew that Wonho could be the guy too if he would give her the chance to show him that she wasnt like Hani. "I know he does, and I appreciate him for showing me the love I deserve. I just wish you would let me show you." She said and then removed herself from his grasp. "But it's clear that you dont want to, so I'm not going to force you anymore. I love you Wonho, but I think it's best we just stick as friends. But know that I'm always going to be there for you, whenever you need it, but I cant keep sleeping with you." She finished and left the room, holding back her tears so he wouldnt see her cry.

Wonho looked down, his heart breaking into a million pieces. He hated Hani. He hated what she did to him. Because of her, his walls were built up so high around his heart and he didn’t know if he could take them down. He didn’t even look at Kihyun. He stared at the sheets that he was fisting in his hands, trying hard not to cry.

"That girl would have done anything for you man. She loves you more than herself. You're her best friend, you are supposed to trust her. You basically told her that you dont trust her." Kihyun said after Soyeon left. "I would have put my feelings for her aside and let you two be happy together. But you pushed her away. I love you man, and you'll always be my boy, but I'm not going to keep sitting here and watch her keep getting hurt. I'm going to show her the love she deserves. "

‘I do love her and I do trust her. I’m just scared...’ he looked at his friend. He wanted to be with her and it’s going to destroy him her moving on with Kihyun. That showed in his eyes. He was trying so hard not to cry. He doesn’t want to lose her.

Kihyun sighed, "You're not going to lose her. I'm not going to take he away from you like that, but I'm going to show her the love that she deserved man." He told his friend. "If you love her like the way you say you do, you cant be scared." He said and then left the room to go find Soyeon.

Wonho let the tears slide down his cheeks, ‘I’m sorry Soyeon...I’m sorry...’ he mumbles as he stared down at his hands. He didn’t say anything when the nurse came in to check on him.

Soyeon was sitting outside on the bench waiting for a taxi to pick her up. She wiped the tears away from her eyes when she saw Kihyun. "Sorry." She mumbled

Kihyun pulled Soyeon up and into his arms, ‘don’t be sorry. You have a right to be upset and cry Soyeon but if you’ll let me, I would still love the chance to make you happy and show you love.’

Soyeon buried her face into his chest, but then pulled away to look at him. She knew that Kihyun means well and he was overall a good guy. She nodded and leaned up to press her lips to his softly. "I want to try us."

He smiled, ‘I’m glad. We can go as slow as you want Soyeon. I’m in no rush. I just want you to feel loved and know you can count on me no matter what,’ he was still blushing from when she kissed him.

Soyeon nodded and gave him a small smile. "Thank you." She said and then looked over to where her uber had pulled up. "I'm going home. I cant stay in this hospital any longer and look at Wonho. But please stay with him so he wont be in there alone. I'll call you when I get home and hopefully I'll see you tomorrow." She said and kissed him one more time.
