Almost Easy.

Cora quickly looked at Brian, surprised by his voice. She turned her attention back to Luke, “I said no. I’m perfectly fine here. Go home.” Cora was quickly losing her patience with her cousin.

“I don’t remember asking for your opinion,” Luke told Brian. He glanced at Cora, “You know your dad is going to show up. It’s only a matter of time. I give it a couple more weeks and you’ll be bored and move on to the next trash that you find.”

Hearing Luke, Cora couldn’t contain her anger anymore, “You need to leave.” She moved out from behind Brian and stopped just short of Luke. “You have no right to talk about him like that. You don’t know him,” she said just before slamming the door in his face.

Matt looked at her, feeling bad, “You want to go back to my place?” He asked, not wanting her to be upset.

Brian looked at Cora. Frowning he pulled her close placing a gentle kiss on the top of her head. "I am so sorry." Brian told her keeping her close.

Cora quickly cuddled into him, “It’s alright. I’m sorry he showed up here...” She was embarrassed by Luke’s behavior.

“Alright,” Matt replied as he started to lead her out of the bar. Once they reached the car, he opened the door for her. After Anna got in, Matt went around and got in and drove back to the apartment.

"Don't apologize." Brian held her close kissing her head. "Come on let's go cuddle up in the bed." Brian told her turning everything off.

Anna lent back into the seat frowning, "Matt, I am so sorry." Anna whispered to her boyfriend frowning.

Cora watched as Brian shut everything off, she quickly followed behind him. She crawled into his bed and curled up next to him, “This is better.”

Once Matt parked the car and shut it off, he turned to look at her. “Don’t apologize. It’s not your fault,” he assured her. A small smile crossed his lips, “Let’s just go inside and relax.”

Brian smiled at her nodding his head. "This is beyond perfect." Brian told her softly keeping close to her.

Anna took and held to his arm as they headed inside. Smiling she lent into him kissing the side of his cheek. "Sounds good." She whispered.

Cora smiled as she let her head rest on his chest. She knew her father wouldn’t let up and Luke was right, eventually he would show up. That was the last thing she wanted to worry about though. Instead, she wanted to enjoy being with Brian.

“Good,” Matt smiled as he lead her inside, closing the door and locking it behind them.

Brian held her close kissing the side of her head, "Don't worry about your dad. I promise, I can handle anything." Brian assured her.

Anna walked with him to his room and stripped out of her clothes. Taking his tee he offered she slipped into it before curling up in the bed with him. Cuddling close to his side, she let a sigh escape her lips.

“I know you can,” she smiled slightly. She had no doubts about Brian being able to handle anything, but she also knew how her father could be. Cora didn’t want to waste anymore time worrying though.

Matt quickly pulled her close once they were both in bed. He hated seeing Anna so upset. He gently rubbed her side, “Everything is going to be fine. I promise. It might not be now, but eventually it’ll work out.”

Brian held her close and kissed her head. Keeping her in his arms he closed his eyes sighing heavily. He was wore out, and his mind was racing. He wanted to beat Luke. But same time he wanted to keep Cora safe.

Anna looked up at Matt, and gave him the best smile she could. She knew her brother and father. They wouldn't back down till he was in jail and she was miserable.

Cora could tell Brian was exhausted and she couldn’t help feeling like it was her fault. She looked up at Brian, waiting for a moment before leaning up and kissing his cheek.

Matt felt guilty that Anna was so upset. He was going to do everything he could to be with her. “Anna, I hope you know I’m not going to to let any of that stop us from being together,” he told her softly.

Brian slowly opened his eyes and looked at Cora smiling. "What's on your mind baby?" Brian questioned her worried.

Anna looked up at Matt, nodding her head. "I know." Anna whispered. "I just feel so bad. For the things he said." Anna frowned.

“I feel guilty. You look so tired and I feel like I’m just making it more difficult for you...” Cora said softly.

Matt shook his head, “Trust me, I’ve been called worse. Nothing your dad or brother can say about me is going to bother me. As long as you still want me.” He smiled down at her.

Brian glanced over at her, "Don't feel guilty, Cora." Brian told her firm. "None of this is fault. You can't help that you have a dick of a cousin." Brian told her honestly.

“The last thing I want is to make your life difficult...” Cora said softly. She looked up at him, “I’ll try not to worry about it too much....”

Matt grinned as he looked at her, “That’s all I wanted to hear.” He leaned down and kissed her.

Brian sat up slowly and cupped her cheeks. "Core you make my life a lot better than it ever dared to be." Brian paused. "Not difficult or anything negative. I couldn't imagine my life without you. I won't lie." Brian admitted to her. "I will deal with your cousin and father. I am not scared of them. It will take a lot more than those two morons to run me away from you. I swear that to you." Brian promised her.

Anna wrapped her arms around Matt's neck kissing him back. Laying back she felt him press against her as she let her hands trail down his chest, and to his stomach. Smirking into the kiss, she slipped a hand further down to his manhood, and squeezed gently as she began massaging hearing him groan into their kiss.

Cora couldn’t help smiling at Brian’s words. She had spent so much time worrying about being a burden to Brian, that she didn’t realize he’d been okay with everything.
