Egon thought it was adorable when she promised not to look, causing him to wonder for a moment how many men she had been with. Not in a derogatory way, but after all of the encounters he had with women, an invite to bathe together was definitely the time for wandering eyes. He tensed his jaw when her fingers found their way over the large scars on his chest. Egon wasn't used to someone touching them, especially in such a delicate manner.
A shiver ran down his back and he brought his hand up to grab hers. "A kikimora." That had been the monster, Egon could still remember the stinging pain of it's stab. He lowered her hand back to her side, a smile playing at the corner of his lips. He would indulge her later, but right now,, monsters were the last thing he wanted to speak of. He motioned to the bath tub, stepping away from her as he began undoing his belt, letting his trousers fall to the floor around his ankles.
Verris couldn't help her next question, it rolled right off her tongue before she even had proper time to think about it. "What made you change your mind?" The dark haired princess looked up at the Witcher, wanting to hear a different answer other than she wasn't safe, or now that her father had abandoned her, he felt like destiny was forcing his hand. She wanted to hear that his mind had changed on its own, but she knew that probably wasn't the case.
"You don't have to feel responsible for me because of some destiny or..." Her words trailed off, as she looked back down to her feet. Verris didn't want him waiting around on her unless that's what he wanted to do.
