Grant nodded, "right yeah, uh there could be a bear or wolves up in these mountains," he said softly. He smiled softly, "just the normal threats on a hike," he said.
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri's deadpan look said it all, "maybe your hikes." She told him, knowing that hers were normally done in a over populated area so wildlife didn't much care for the area. "Have you came across any in your time here?" She asked.
Grant chuckled, "well I do hike up in the mountains," he said softly. He continued leading her up to a trail, "oh just on occasion, they tend to scatter fairly quick though." he told her
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri peered at him, "so you lived off this place before I got here, huh?" She looked around making sure to take in as much as she could just so she wouldn't get lost when or if she ever came out here by herself.
Grant nodded lightly, "yeah mostly, I wanted to not have to go to town ever," he said softly. He paused for a moment, "I saw to much evil in people," he said softly
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri frowned at his words. "You mean like the ones we ran into?" She wondered if he'd thought of her as being evil as well. She'd have more than likely been just like them if he'd never came into her life.
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri nodded, "sorry I guess it's hard seeing you as a service man." She told him, "after all my you know my dad." She chuckled, shaking her head.
Grant nodded, "well I can see that, your father isn't exactly the patriotic type," he said softly. He walked with her pointing out different spots she could hide, if she had to .
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri walked behind him, her eyes looking to places he pointed out. Knowing that if it ever came to it she'd need to remember where they were at. Though some of them were even hard for her to see, others were easier to spot. "Did you fix these up or are they naturally made?" She questioned.
Grant grinned softly, "some of them were already there, others I rigged up," he said lightly. He was enjoying this hike, more than his usual hunts. It was amazing what a little company could do
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri let out a soft laugh, "compared to me you can do quite a bit." She shrugged knowing that all she seemed to be good at was fucking.
Grant chuckled softly, "I think you'd be surprised if you gave things a try, you haven't needed to do much, which is why you think you cant do things," he said
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri let out a dry laugh, "or I've done things and failed, so I never did them again." She told him. But she knew that then she was alone and didn't have any guidance. With him he was patient, and would take the time was needed to show her what she was doing wrong and how to fix it.
Grant softly laughed, "well, the first time I shot a gun, I put my shoulder out," he said softly. He continued walking up the mountain further. "How would you like to try learn to shoot?" he asked
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri's eyes widen when he said he'd popped his shoulder out of socket. "What were you shooting?" She asked him, knowing it had to be a rifle or a larger gun. She knew some what about guns, mainly types of hands guns. But it was only training for if someone ever took her then she could send a coded message back to her father. It was stupid and she'd never thought she'd need it. But here she was and she actually thought learning to shoot would be better than just letting someone take her. "Well I figured you'd know but I do think its best to learn to shoot any kind of gun." She shrugged.
Grant smiled and chuckled, "Oh my father started me out with a shotgun, they have quite a kick, if you don't know what to expect," he said. He pulled his handgun from his side, "well, we can start off with this, just so you get the hang of it," he said. He looked at her, and smiled, offering it over to her
@ A Drop On the Window Aeri looked at the gun he offer her, taking it from his hands she pointed it at the ground as she looked over it. "So explain this to me, I get pull the trigger." She told him. "But how to I know what I'm going to hit?"
