"Help with the other patches would be welcomed," Azana told him. "I think I can put my own shirt on though," Knowing that he was done, she shifted slightly and got her shirt back over her head without flashing Elliot. Feeling the bandage against her back caused her to shift a bit until she started getting used to the feeling. It wasn't all that bad but she still was looking forward to the day when all of them were off of her.

Now properly dressed, Azana turned in the chair so she was facing Elliot again, a little smile on her lips as she looked up at him. "I already took the rest of the patches off. These should be easier."

Elliot chuckled a bit, nodding as he turned away once more while she put on her shirt before moving over to sit in front of her to help get the last of her patches off before he began to apply the lotion to her other wounds, taking care to be gentle like before. "Hopefully this will help you feel better, and you'll be back to your usual cheerful self in no time." He smiled, wiping the lotion off his hands once he was done before careful placing the patches back on.

Once that was done he sat back in his seat, offering her a little smile. "So what now? Would you like to watch a movie, or would you rather rest for a bit?" He still looked exhausted, but he was determined to not leave her alone, which included staying awake in case she needed anything.

Azana gently looked over Elliot as she smiled warmly at him. It was easy to tell that the man was exhausted. Though, what could she expect when she had woken him up much earlier than he would normally? And, unlike her, Elliot didn't have anything from a healer that could help him. She needed to look through the potions to see if there was something Elliot could have that would actually help. But, for now, she would try to take care of him in another way.

"Honestly, Elliot, I am just tired." Azana said softly. It wasn't true. Although she was severely under the weather, Azana still had energy. But, at this point, she just wanted to make sure that he was being taken cared of too. And, if Elliot was tired, she would go lay down with him. "Would you be okay with going back to bed?"

Elliot was a bit surprised when Azana confessed that she was tired, especially considering that he knew she was a morning person in general and that she hadn't seemed all that tired. But he wasn't going to argue with her if she wanted to go back to bed, giving a little nod as he stood and offered her a hand to help her up. "Of course, Az. I'm glad to hear you want to rest, honestly. I was worried that you might try to push yourself too far too fast." He said with a little smile, leading her back to his room where he pulled back the blankets for her before getting into bed himself.

He settled into the matress with a tired groan, closing his eyes for a few moments before looking over at her. "If you find that you can't sleep, I've got plenty of books on that bookshelf over there that you can help yourself to. Or whatever stupid games I have on my phone."

"Thank you, Elliot," Azana whispered to him as she shifted into his side. She waited until he was completely settled before laying her head on Elliot's chest, pulling the blankets closer over her body and settling down herself. It was hard to say if she was going to be able to go back to sleep, but Azana figured that she could just wait for Elliot to drift off before taking his phone and playing the games that he had on there. It would be something to do and would allow Elliot to get the rest that he needed.

But, for now, Azana would just rest against him and enjoy being close to Elliot. She let out a small hum, closing her eyes as well. It was insane to Azana just how close they had managed to become in such a short amount of time. Despite what had occurred with Kendric, she still trusted him. Still wanted Elliot to be around despite the fact that he was also a male necromancer. Just something about their relationship was that strong and she could feel it to her cure. "Elliot," Azana whispered to him. "I just want you to know that I care about you, and I want you to get better soon."

Elliot gave a little nod as she thanked him, wrapping his arm around her as she scooted into his side and rested her head against his chest, gently rubbing her back as she settled in. "You don't have to thank me all the time, you know." He murmured with a little smile, closing his eyes again as he let himself doze for a bit. It was nice to have her here, even if the circumstances around why she was here were awful.

He let out a little hum as Azana whispered to him, opening his eyes to look down at her. He smiled a bit as she confessed that she cared about him and wanted him to get better soon, squeezing her a bit in his arms. "I appreciate it, Az. I care about you too, and want you to get better soon." He echoed, brushing his fingers lightly through her hair.

A gentle smile came over her face. "I know," Azana whispered back as she gently squeezed him back. Her face moved to bury further into his chest now that Elliot was starting to play with her hair. And, with that, Azana calmed down against him. No longer moving, just staying cuddled up and quiet against someone who had grown so important to her. And, with time, Azana actually drifted off against him.

A few hours later and Azana's eyes were fluttering as she woke. The young woman glanced around for a moment, surprised that she had fallen asleep at all. She hadn't been tired but...well Elliot had been rather comfortable.

Once Azana stilled and fell quiet it didn't take Elliot very long before he fell asleep, his hand stilling where it had been running through her hair and the man's arms relaxing around her a bit. It was obvious he needed the sleep, falling into a deep sleep relatively quickly as indicated by his light snoring, and he was glad for Azana's calming presence.

When Azana woke a few hours later Elliot was still asleep, snoring lightly with his arms wrapped around her. As he felt her shift though he stirred too, letting out a little groan before he forced his eyes open, blinking sleepily as he looked at her. "Did I over sleep?" He asked groggily, loosening his arms around her so that she could get up and leave if she wanted to, especially since the knew she probably didn't want to lay around sleeping with him all day.

Her head shifted up once Elliot started to talk. She glanced up at the man before smiling softly. It seemed that he was a light sleeper. She wouldn't have expected it from him but it did make her feel a little better. Knowing that he would wake if something happened. "No, you didn't oversleep." She whispered to him, lightly patting his shoulder as she did so. Feeling his arms loosen up, Azana slowly pulled out of his arms and sat up in the bed. "I'll let you have the bed to yourself now. I think I'll make myself lunch."

Azana stood up and made her way over to the kitchen. Although she felt better with him closer, knowing that Elliot was a light sleeper made her feel better about just moving around the apartment. Besides, she was awake. She would be able to do something even with her current lack of magic. Though Azana had it n the back of her mind that surely her ex was just as injured as them.

    (Skipping!)

It had been about a week since Azana had come to stay in his apartment with him, and things had been going pretty well. Azana was practically fully healed, and Elliot was was getting there, still feeling a bit tired and weak now and then, but he'd been well enough to put extra wards up at the doors and windows to make sure that bastard wouldn't be able to get in. They'd had to go back to Azana's apartment once or twice so she could get a few things, tend to her greenhouse and leave a note on the front door of the store apologizing to her customers for being closed, using the excuse of having to go out of town unexpectedly. She still didn't feel fully safe going out, and how could she when Kendric was still out there, but Elliot had reached out to a few people, including the authorities in the hopes that they'd be able to find Kendric and do something to keep them safe, but it would likely take a while.

They'd had a pretty lazy day so far, and Elliot was cooking them dinner, humming to himself as he put the finishing touches on the homemade pasta sauce he'd made before mixing in the pasta, turning to grab some plates from the cupboard before calling for Azana. "Dinner's ready, Az." It was a small apartment so she could see that it was done from where she was in the living room, but he still felt like it was the courteous thing to do to let her know.

Azana lightly rubbed the palms of her hands as she looked down at them. She was currently laying on the couch while Elliot was cooking dinner in the kitchen. And, although, Elliot was making some noise in the process of it, her mind was focused on her palms. It was only this morning that she was able to take all of the patches off. Now that her own defenses and wards were put up, Azana was allowed to take in magic again. It really had been a full detox where she had been dripped dry and now that she could feel it swarming back in, Azana was feeling whole again. And she swore she could feel every bit of magic that her body was sucking in. Like a draft blowing in.

Hearing Elliot, Azana's head lifted to look into the kitchen, seeing that he was grabbing plates. The young woman stood up from the couch and headed over to the table, sitting down at Elliot laid her plate down in front of her. "Thank you, Elliot." Azana said as she started to fill her plate with the pasta that he made. "It smells delicious."

Elliot offered Azana a warm smile as she came over to the table and sat down, sitting in his usual spot across from her before serving himself once she'd helped herself. "Are you feeling better now that the patches are off? I think some of your flowers are starting to grow back." He pointed out, glad to see the little tiny buds and leaves returning to her hair, although it looked like they'd need another day or so before they bloomed fully. She'd been in such a bad state though that it was a miracle that she'd recovered so quickly, even with the help of the healer's tonics, but he was glad to see she was on the mend.

"It's not going to be anything special, not like that stuff you made the other night, but it's a meal and it will keep us full." Elliot chuckled after she complimented the food, taking a few bites before looking across the table at her. "So, what's the plan for the rest of the night and tomorrow?"

"So much better!" Azana said excitedly, wiggling her fingers a bit as she did so. "It's going to be fantastic to be able to use magic again tomorrow." As he mentioned the flowers in her hair, Azana reached up and could feel some of the vines and buds back into her hair, causing the woman to let out a satisfactory hum. "Yes, should be another day or so. Then you can start your guessing game again."

Azana dropped her hand back down, now focused on the meal in front of her. She was hungry, and despite Elliot's words, she rather liked his cooking. Although his recipes were simpler than hers, Azana liked the taste. "I like what you make us." Azana told him with a warm smile. Though as he asked about the plan, Azana glanced over at him for a long moment before meeting his eyes again. "You still need to rest. I think the plan is to stay here and let you sleep. No more wards from you for now. The day after tomorrow, we will need to go back to the greenhouse..."

Elliot couldn't help but smile at how excited she was to finally be getting her magic back, knowing the detox must have been hard for her, even if it was what she really needed. "I'm glad to hear it. I haven't liked seeing you so sad without your magic." He said between bites, chuckling a little at the mention of the guessing game he'd played with her flowers and her mood. "I look forward to it too."

"I'm glad you like it, I'd feel awful if you hated it but felt like you had to eat it for my sake." He returned her smile with a warm one of his own, nodding a little in agreement as she said that he needed to rest. He knew that much, everything ached today, but he had needed to set up the wards for her safety, so it was worth the extra exhaustion. "I know. I was planning on taking it easy tomorrow anyway. And I'll save up my strength for disguising spells for us for when we go to the greenhouse."

Azana gave him a little nod when Elliot mentioned disguising spells. She wished that it was something she had the ability to do, but it was not something in her own wheelhouse. But it was clear that Elliot was still gaining his strength back so she wanted him to rest as much as possible, to not have to use his spells for a little bit. Though up until now, Azana had been unable to so it had been important for Elliot to do all of the wards.

"Maybe I can make you some tonics tomorrow," Azana told him softly before taking another bite to eat. "I know you're feeling a bit better but I think it would help. Get you all the way back to normal?" Her head lifted up and she looked at him with gentle eyes. It had been a week living with Elliot and Azana had come to the conclusion that she did really like him. She supposed there had been a little something there before but the last few days really solidified it.

Elliot smiled a bit as she suggested that she make him some tonics tomorrow, shaking his head a little. They'd brought back a number of herbs to his apartment from the shop when they last went so that they'd have everything they needed to make tonics and wards and spells, not wanting to have to constantly be going in and out of the apartment when they still didn't know where Kendric was. He'd managed to make a rather weak tonic for himself earlier in the week which had given him enough strength to re-up the wards around his home, but that had used up what little magic he'd regained and he definitely needed to recuperate before casting a disguising spell.

"You don't have to, Az. Just because you're getting your magic back doesn't mean you should go out and use all of it the first chance you get." He said, worried that she would push herself too far for his sake and end up feeling ill again. "If you really feel up to it, I don't think it would be a bad idea, but only if you think you can." The last thing he wanted was for to get sick again and have to have the healer come see her, knowing that the woman would probably insist that Azana leave his house and stay with her or somewhere else because of him. He already felt bad enough for causing her so much trouble in the first place, the last thing he wanted was to make her worse.

"I will be careful." Azana reassured Elliot, looking at him gently. "I am sure that I could handle making a tonic or two...and I promise that if I don't feel well tomorrow, then I won't do it. Okay?" Azana reached out and lightly took his hand into hers, squeezing his as she did so. It was time for Elliot to feel like his normal self again, and she had been a bit disappointed when she realized that his healing process was going to take longer than she originally hoped for... but it made sense. Elliot had very little to help him along and since Azana had very little to offer in terms of magic, Elliot had tired himself out to protect them.

Without waiting for a response, Azana stood up, taking her empty plate with her. "Besides, I just got my magic back. I need to test it out a little. And a tonic is not going to completely wear me out. I should be more than fine. Especially since I am almost fully back to- well healed." She definitely could not say that she was back to normal. None of this was normal. But at least her body was feeling better and most of her magic was back. She headed over to the sink and cleaned off her plate. "Do you want to watch a movie with me or are you going to head straight to bed?"

"Okay." Elliot agreed with a small smile, squeezing her hand in return as she reached across the table to take his hand. He held onto her hand as they finished up their dinner, releasing it when she stood to take her empty plate to the sink to rinse, taking the last few bites of his food before getting up to do the same. They tried to divide up the household tasks as evenly as possible, but depending on how the other was feeling sometimes one of them ended up doing more than the other, not that he ever minded.

Once their dishes were both rinsed off and the leftovers put away Elliot nodded as she asked if he wanted to watch a movie with her. "Sure thing. Do you want to watch on the TV on the couch or on my laptop in bed? I don't have a preference either way, both are comfy and doable. Oh, and it's your turn to pick the movie."

"Lets use the tv, tonight." Azana turned back towards Elliot, poking him softly. "You tend to fall asleep when we use the bed and your laptop." With that decided, Azana headed over to the tv and plopped down on the couch, leaving room for Elliot to come join her. She leaned back into the fabric and started to flip through the shows on netflix before settling on one that she liked quite a but, 'Crazy Rich Asians'.

"If you don't like this movie, then I can pick something else." Azana told him as she laid her head against the couch, looking at him.

Elliot chuckled as she poked him, swatting at her hand. "It's not my fault I'm always tired." He teased, knowing he had a tendency to drift off, even if he had choosen the movie. After tidying up the kitchen while Azana moved to the couch to choose the movie he headed over to her, taking a seat next to her and draping an arm behind her like he usually did, having gotten into the habit of it.

"Sounds like a fine movie, we can watch it." He assured her as he looked down at her, smiling a bit. "I've made you watch plenty of movies that I don't think you liked, so it's only fair I return the favor. Not that I think this movie will be bad or that I won't like it, it's just the principle."
