Living' On A Prayer

Brian took and smiled at the message seeing Matt pull in. Pocketing his phone he walked with Matt explaining what Jimmy had said. "So what are we going to do? This is another gang trying to take our terriority and supplies away." Brian told Matt.

Kerri took and showered, as she got dressed. Sighing to herself she headed downstairs and began working on something to eat for her and Matt when he did return home. Turning her alexa device on, she began listing to the music while she baked a delicious desert, and prepared their meal.

Mia was completely relaxed as she laid on the bed. When Brian stopped responding to her texts, she placed her phone on the table. Figuring it wouldn’t hurt to take a little nap, Mia grabbed one of the pillows and closed her eyes.

The last thing on Matt’s mind was work, he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he was going to be a father. “We’re going to find out everything we can about them and then hit them back,” he told Brian. He ran a hand over his face, “We have to make sure this gang understands that we aren’t to be messed with.”

Brian nodded his head, "The quicker we can get this done and I can get back to Mia. I will be happy." Brian smiled.

Kerri took and went about doing some laundry after she had the food in to cook and the dessert to bake. Sighing to herself she wondered if this was the right time to be bringing a child into the world. With Matt being in a gang. Her father was the most feared detective on this side of the coast. Biting her lip she sighed knowing this was going to get ugly if her father found out.

Mia woke up from her nap and got out of bed. She went to the living room and made a few phone calls to arrange for her furniture from the apartment to be picked up and donated. It wasn’t much, but Mia didn’t have anywhere to store it and there was no need for it anymore.

Matt agreed, “The sooner the better. We just found out we’re having a baby.” He threw in with a smile. He had to tell someone and he was sure they would be excited.

"You're going to be a dad?" Brian smiled at him. "Congratulations buddy." Brian smiled at him.

Kerri sighed sitting at the island as the thoughts began pulsing through her mind about her father. Matt. The unborn baby.

Mia placed her phone on the table before going into the kitchen for something to drink. She was working on a way to tell her parents she was moving in with Brian, knowing they would think it was too soon.

“Thanks, so the sooner we can get this done the sooner I can get home,” Matt agreed. He looked over at Jimmy and Johnny, “Think you two can get some useful information so we can retaliate?” Seeing them nod, Matt sighed, “Alright. As soon as we get anything we can use, we make a plan.”

Couple hours into the evening, they had their plan and had everything completed. After saying goodbye, Brian took and headed to his house. Walking in he smiled, "Babe." Brian called out.

Mia was curled up on the couch with a blanket watching tv when Brian got home. Hearing his voice, she sat up, “In here.”

Matt was relieved to finally be going home as he pulled away from the warehouse. Parking in the driveway, he went inside, “Babe? I’m home.”

Brian walked into the living space and smiled at Mia, "I am sorry it took longer than expected." Brian told her.

"In the kitchen." Kerri told him.

Mia looked over at Brian as he walked into the room, “It’s alright. I kept myself busy here.”

Matt walked into the kitchen and smiled, “Hey, I’m sorry it took so long.” He went over to her and kissed her cheek.

"I am yours the rest of tonight, and tomorrow. I am taking the day off." Brian smiled at her.

Kerri looked at him, "What if my dad finds out?" Kerri stared at Matt.

Mia liked the idea of having Brian to herself for awhile. She looked over at him, "So, what do you want to do with all of your free time?" She asked.

Matt sighed, he knew it wouldn't be long before Kerri brought up her dad. "We've been doing this for a long time and we've managed to stay under the radar so far, I'd like to keep it that way." He leaned against the counter, "We'll be fine."

"I can think of some things." Brian smirked leaning down kissing her lips softly.

Kerri looked at him sighing softly. "I hope you're right." She felt the uneasiness hitting in her stomach and got off the bar stool and took off running. Falling into the toilet she emptied her stomach and felt it rolling again as it escaped again.

“Oh?” Mia questioned before she felt Brian’s lips against her own. She quickly returned the kiss, moving closer to him.

“Me too,” Matt said quietly after Kerri took off to the bathroom. He didn’t know what would happen if her father came across their gang. He followed Kerri to the bathroom, “Do you need anything?” He asked.

Easily sitting on the sofa at her feet, he pulled her into his lap all while remaining kissing her. He held her close and smiled as he pulled back. "I am so happy you're here." Brian told her.

Kerri shook her head feeling it ease up. "I'm good." She mumbled flushing the toilet. Slowly getting to her feet she rinsed her mouth out and looked at her husband. Walking over to him she lent into him. "Now I feel like crap." She whispered into his stomach.

Mia smiled as Brian pulled her into his lap, “I’m so happy to be here.” She laughed softly, resting her head on his chest.

Matt wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, “I’m sorry.” He rubbed her back softly, “Want to go rest?” He asked her.

Brian grinned, "I am happy too." Brian held her close just enjoying this.

"Yeah." Kerri told him softly holding onto him.

Mia relaxed completely in Brian’s arms. She sighed softly, closing her eyes and just enjoying being with him.

“Alright,” Matt said softly, carefully picking her up and carrying her to their room. He gently placed her on the bed before laying down next to her, “It’s going to be okay.”

Brian sighed in content holding her close, "How about we go to the bedroom?" Brian whispered into her hair trailing his hand up and down her back slowly.

Kerri laid her head on his chest feeling him cover her up. Keeping close to her husband she closed her eyes, "I hope you're right." She whispered yawning as she took and allowed the sleep to come over her.

Hearing Brian mention going to the bedroom, Mia nodded, “Okay.” She waited a moment before getting up and going to the bedroom.
