Living' On A Prayer

Brian held to her hand as they headed up to the bedroom. Stripping and getting into his basketball shorts. Brian climbed into the bed stretching out as he smiled at Mia.

Kerri laid in his arms, keep close to him as she began drifting further off into a deep sleep.

Mia followed Brian and crawled into bed with him after he changed. She let her head rest on his chest, “This is nice.” She said softly.

Once Matt was sure Kerri was sleeping, he closed his eyes and fell asleep with her. For once letting his mind rest today.

Brian glanced over at her, "Yes babe, this is nice." He whispered closing his eyes keeping her close to him as he felt himself sinking under the sleep that was plaguing his mind.

Mia woke up the next morning, wrapped in Brian’s arms. She smiled and tried her best not to move, just enjoying the feeling. A sigh left her lips as she wiggled out of his arms and made her way to the bathroom.

The next morning, Matt carefully moved himself from Kerri’s grasp. He made his way downstairs and made some coffee and started making a few things for breakfast, wanting to surprise her.

Rolling to his side, Brian took and slowly opened his eyes catching Mia walking into the bathroom. He took and stretched before sitting up in the bed and running a hand through his hair.

Slowly rolling to her side, Kerri felt her stomach flop deep inside the pits of her stomach. Feeling the urge hit, she pushed the blankets back and ran for the bathroom. After two times, she finished and brushed her teeth. Sighing heavily she lent into the counter before walking out. Smelling the smell of coffee, made her stomach turn as she winced. "Oh great, you're not going to allow me drink coffee." She rubbed her stomach slightly smiling at the small bump underneath Matt's tee she had on. Walking down the stairs she walked into the kitchen seeing Matt hard at work. "Cooking again? I must be real special." She grinned.

Mia finished up in the bathroom before walking back out, “Morning sleepy head.” She smiled as she walked over and kissed Brian softly, “Any plans today?”

Matt smiled when he heard Kerri come into the kitchen, “It’s nothing special, just pancakes, eggs, and toast.” He looked over at her, “I didn’t know if any smells would make you sick or anything like that...”

Brian looked at her with a smile, "Just spending the day with you." Brian told her kissing her lips. "Maybe we can make a day at the beach or something?" Brian suggested.

"Coffee." Kerri told him walking over kissing his lips softly as she smelt his aftershave as she gagged. "And your aftershave apparently." She frowned going to the island and sitting down trying to get her stomach settled.

“I like the sound of that,” Mia laughed softly. She took a moment to think, “I think a day at the beach sounds great. We can have a little picnic and just relax.”

“Coffee and my aftershave, got it, sorry,” Matt apologized as he made her a plate and placed it on the table. He made himself a plate and sat down with her to eat.

Brian grinned, "Good. Then we can pack a bag, and lunch and make a day of it." Brian told her smiling leaning over kissing her lips. "No phone's either." Brian smirked.

"Don't apologize baby." Kerri cupped his face. "It's part of pregnancy." She smiled softly. "I have an appointment later this afternoon to see how far along we are, and see the baby and all that. You don't have any work do you?" Kerri questioned.

Mia smiled brightly, “That sounds like a wonderful idea.” She looked at him, “I’ll go and start packing a lunch and no phones sounds like the best part of the day.”

Matt sighed, “The morning sickness doesn’t last the whole time, right?” He questioned. Hearing she had an appointment, Matt smiled, “I can’t wait. Nope, I’m yours for the day, I’ll even leave my phone here.”

Brian smiled, "I couldn't agree more." Brian smiled at her as he took and went about grabbing a couple beach towels, her tanning loition, and blankets. Packing them in a beach bag he'd found he took and slipped into his trunks and a wife beater tank as he grabbed his cap and put it on his head and grabbed his sunglasses and other stuff he needed to drive.

"Good." Kerri smiled softly. "So will I." Kerri turned her phone off pushing it away. "When my mom was pregnant with me, it lasted till she was in labor." Kerri admitted. "Amy mentioned with you, your mom told her. That it lasted the whole time. I hope it doesn't." Kerri admitted looking at him as she took a bite of her food hoping and praying she didn't get sick.

Mia went to the kitchen and packed their lunch, she tossed in a couple snacks in. Once everything was packed, she went and changed into her bikini before pulling a pair of jean shorts and a tank top over top. She grabbed her purse before meeting Brian at the door, “Ready?”

Matt sighed softly, “Well hopefully it will get a little less intense.” He didn’t like seeing Kerri miserable. He ate his breakfast and drank his coffee. Once he finished his food, he started cleaning up around the kitchen.

Brian nodded, "Yes." Brian told her.

Kerri took and smiled, "I hope." Kerri whispered kissing his lips softly.

Mia helped load the bags into the vehicle, she smiled as she got in the passenger seat and relaxed. Once Brian got in, she looked over at him, “I’m so ready for this.”

“Why don’t you go and relax? I’ll take care of everything down here. You take a break until your appointment,” Matt told her.

Brian grinned, "So am I Mia." Brian told her as he pulled out heading downtown for the beach. "Today is about you and nothing more." Brian smiled knowing he needed to talk to her about his job. But he honestly had no idea where to begin with the information of his job.

Kerri looked at Matt, "I promise, I am fine." Kerri told him slipping off the stool and helping him to clean up the mess. She took and hummed to herself as she put stuff in the dishwasher and smiled at him. "It's nice having you home for a chance." Kerri whispered smiling softly.

Mia was glad as they started to the beach. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Brian was hiding something from her. Deciding to push the thought to the back of her mind, she smiled over at Brian, just wanting to enjoy the day.

“Okay, if you say so,” Matt said. He smiled slightly, “It’s nice being home and being with you. I’m all yours for the day, no interruptions.”

Arriving at the beach, Brian got out and helped Mia out. Grabbing the basket and bags, he followed her to a spot. Setting everything up with her help he smiled. "This is going to be an awesome day." Brian smiled at her.

"Good." Kerri smiled kissing his lips softly. "I hardly ever get that, so I am taking it." She grinned at her husband smiling at him.

Mia smiled as they sat everything up and Brian mentioned it being an awesome day. Once everything was ready, Mia took off her shorts and tank top. Seeing Brian look at her, she smiled over at him, “Wanna take a picture?” She laughed softly.

Matt smiled, “I figured you would say something like that.” He grabbed his phone from his pocket and shut it off before placing it on the counter, “I’m all yours.”

"Not when I can take you home and to bed every night." Brian smirked leaning over kissing her lips. A sly grin formed into his lips as he emptied his pockets into her bag to hide his belongings. He took and grabbed her by the waist, tossing her over his shoulder and running for the water. "Bottoms up!" Brian called out laughing.

Kerri smiled doing the same laying her phone beside his, "I am all yours as well." Kerri lent over kissing his lips deeply. "Maybe we could go do some window shopping for the baby? Pick out a few things." Kerri smiled. "What room are we going to use as the nursery?" She questioned leaning into the island beside of her.

Hearing his words, Mia couldn’t help the blush that crossed her cheeks. She let out a gasp as Brian tossed her over his shoulder, “Brian! Put me down!” She laughed as he ran toward the water.

Matt nodded, “I would love to go window shopping for the baby.” He laughed softly, “I think maybe we could turn the room across the hall from our room into the nursery. We’d be right here and it would be the perfect size for a crib and all that.”
