Rise Above The Storm

Smiling up at Addison, she took and fed Seb his bottle and kept the little boy in her arms while he ate as she smiled down at him.

Brian smiled, "This is nice." He told the group.

"It is," Dom agreed with a smile.

Brian smiled as he admired Addison and looked at Lauren and Seb together. This was nice, and amazing for once nothing was going to stop their family dinner together.

Lauren finished feeding Seb and smiled. Putting him up on her shoulder, she burped him and smiled as she rocked him just loving this.

"You've got the magic touch," Addison commented with a smile, standing up and heading inside to take her tablets.

"Is she okay?" Dom stated as Addison disappeared inside, "I mean with everything."

Brian looked at Dom, "So far, ok." Brian admitted to him.

Lauren walked inside and smiled at Addison, "You ok?" Lauren asked as she took and watched her holding Seb.

"I'm fine, just trying to keep on top of my medication," Addison stated with a smile, throwing the pills back and washing them down with water, "How're you?"

Lauren shrugged, "I am ok." Lauren told her.

"I know that we haven't known each other all that long, but I'm here if you need to talk," Addison said.

Lauren gave her a smile, "Thank you. That means the world to me, Addison." Lauren gave her a small hug. "This little man has filled his diaper. I can change him if you want me to." Lauren offered to her.

"If you want to," Addison replied with a smile, knowing that Seb was content with Lauren, "I'll get his changing bag for you."

After changing Seb. Lauren took and smiled getting the play pin she had in her house and fixed it for him. Placing him in it for a nap she smiled walking into the kitchen, cleaning a little and smiling at the sleeping baby.

Sat in the yard with her sketchbook, Addison focused on the design she'd been working on and allowed her inspiration to guide her. She felt safe here, she knew that Seb was in good hands with Lauren and she wasn't worried about anything in that moment.

The next morning, Lauren walked down the stairs around five in the morning with Seb in her arms. Deciding on letting Addison and Brian have a night alone. She smiled making his bottle and feeding him. Walking into the living space she sat down in the recliner with him and began rocking him as she smiled to herself. "You are such a good little baby." She whispered feeding him as she hummed to him.

Addison woke up to the sun shining through the window and cuddled closer to Brian, resting her head on his chest.

"It feels weird not having to get up for Seb," she mumbled tiredly.

"Good morning," Dom stated as he made his way downstairs, kissing Lauren on the head and stroking Seb's cheek with a smile, "Have you been up long with him?"

"Yeah, it really does." Brian yawned stretching. "I kept getting up and going into the nursery to check him." Brian admitted as he closed his eyes.

"Not too long." She told him.

"I may have spent half an hour freaking out in the bathroom," Addison admitted with a smile, hiding her face behind her hands and laughing.

"Want me to take him for a little while?" Dom offered.

"It's ok." Brian smiled at her. "I freaked out too. First time he's not been here with us." Brian smiled.

Lauren looked up at Dom shaking her head no, "I am good." Lauren smiled up at him as she saw Seb slowly going to sleep in her arms after being changed, fed, and burped.

A warmth spread through Addison chest at the way Brian spoke about Seb, it was as though he'd been there from the beginning and even though he wasn't Seb's biological father... he was one of the best father figures she could hope for.

"How about some breakfast?"

Brian ran a hand over his face, "So do you want to go get the little guy? I miss him." Brian smiled at her.

"That sounds amazing, Dom." Lauren smiled as she got up slowly laying Seb in his little playpen she had in the living room. "I can cook for us." She smiled.

"Yes please," Addison replied with a smile.

"Babe," Dom said with a frown, "Let me do something... you don't have to do it all yourself."
