Rise Above The Storm

Brian smiled at her, "I am glad you said that." Brian laughed getting up and quickly getting some clothes on.

Lauren saw the frown, "I know I don't." Lauren took his hand into hers and smiled. "I am used to doing it though." She admitted. "But, if you want to cook, I won't stop you." She told him softly.

Addison chuckled, biting her lip as Brian got changed and getting changed herself.

"I'll cook, you spend some time with Seb because I don't think it's going to be long before Addy and Bri get here," Dom told her with a grin, "What's your thoughts on Addison, babe?"

Brian took and smiled as he walked into the kitchen to get them both a cup of coffee before they headed out.

"Probably not." Lauren smiled watching Seb sleep as she sat down slowly. "She is sweet. I like her a lot." She smiled. "A perfect fit to our family."

Coffee. Coffee was definitely something that Addison needed and just the smell made her smile.

"I agree," Dom replied as he dished up breakfast, "She's good for Bri, even Vince seems calmer in her presence and everyone loves Seb."

Brian smiled bringing two cups of coffee into their room. "Here you go." He smiled at her.

Lauren nodded her head, "Yes." Lauren said softly as she took and watched Dom.

"Thank you," Addison said with a grin, taking a sip of her drinks as she got up and finished sorting her hair, "I was thinking... maybe we could take Seb out later in the skyline?"

"So, what's the plan for today?" Dom asked as he set breakfast down in front of Lauren, "I've got a few things to do at the garage."

"In the skyline?" Brain questioned. "Are you sure?" Brian looked at her.

Lauren looked at him, "I don't really have any plans." Lauren admitted.

Over the next few weeks, they took Seb out in the skyline a few times, and each time he fell asleep to the rumble of the engine. Addison wasn't sure why she felt so safe in the presence of Brian and the entire Toretto crew, but she did. Life, for the first time in a while, was really good and that only meant that with each passing day she had more to lose.

Dom sat in the garage, looking over a beat-up Subaru that had been brought in, and frowned. Things were good, business was booming and they'd had no trouble from anyone... which was a worry.

Walking out of the bedroom with Seb dressed, Brian grinned at Addison. "Look we're twinning today." Brian laughed pointing to the shirts that matched as he held him. "Ready to take little man to his checkup?" Brian smiled at her.

Making her way into the garage, Lauren gently put her hand on Dom's shoulder seeing him turn and look at her. "Are you ok?" Lauren asked quietly staring at him as she felt their son move inside of her stomach which made her smile warmly at the man she'd come to love more with each passing day.

"That's cute," Addison stated with a grin, kissing Seb's head and grabbing her jacket, "As ready as I'll ever be."

Seb's checkups always made her nervous, but they had always been good and that alone made her anxiety a little easier to handle.

"I'm fine, just... things are really good for everyone right now and I'm just trying to figure out how to keep it that way," Dom told her trutherly.

"It's going to be ok, I promise." Brian kissed her head as they headed down to the SUV he'd gotten for them.

Lauren walked over and rubbed his shoulder, "Dom, all we can do is try to keep it like this." Lauren whispered. "Don't over think it." She kissed his head. "PLus you promised me some baby shopping today for little man." Lauren smiled at her husband.

Seb's appointment went okay, although the doctor was a little concerned with the fact that he hadn't put on much weight and had advised them on a few changes that she could make with his milk. Sat in the SUV, Addison listened to the song playing on the radio and watched Seb through the rearview mirror.

"I know," Dom stated, smiling up at Lauren and pushing himself to his feet, "Where do you want to go?"

Brian looked over at Addison and stared at her. "Are you ok?" Brian asked her softly as he drove them towards the apartment.

"We need to get him a crib, and clothes, and all that stuff." Lauren smiled at Dom putting her hand to her swollen stomach. "We still need to figure out a room for him, and we don't have much time." Lauren frowned staring at him sighing. "I feel overwhelmed, and nesting." Lauren told him.

"Yeah, I just don't feel too well," Addison told him honestly, not wanting to worry him and resting her head against the cool window.

"We'll be ready," Dom added with a grin, grabbing his keys and taking Lauren's hand in his, "I was thinking that maybe we could turn the spare room into a nursery?"

Brian looked at Addison and frowned. "Do we need to go to the doctor?" Brian questioned concerned.

"It is close to us." Lauren smiled at him holding his hand. "I think it'd be perfect."

"No, I'm just a little dizzy is all..." Addison reassured him with a small smile, "It happens sometimes."

"Let's go get our boy some things," Dom added.

Brian looked at her and nodded, "Ok babe. I just worry about you." Brian told her.

Lauren nodded her head and held to Dom's hand walking out with him.

"I know, bub," Addison stated, reaching over and placing her hand on his leg, "I promise, I'll let you know if it gets worse."
