“It’s amazing and everyone seems so sweet, except for certain people.” Emily sighed. “But besides them, everyone else has been nice.”

She looked up as Sunghoon walked over. “Ah, Kai, I wanted to apologize for what Jungwon did to you in the cafeteria.” He said, as he stopped by the groups table.

Soobin looked to Sunghoon. “Is there nothing you can do to get them to calm down?” He asked flatly. “We’re all sick of this, Sunghoon.”

Beomgyu frowned. “They didn’t follow you, did they?”

“Jay and Heeseung are waiting outside the library.” Sunghoon sighed. “I will try talking to them, hyung.” He said as he looked at Soobin. “I don’t know why they won’t leave you guys alone but it’s tiring.” He sighed.

Beomgyu tensed when Sunghoon confirmed that Jay and Heeseung were outside. “What, do they want to see Emily and Rose?” He asked, clearly irritated. “That ramen burnt Kai…”

“Not to mention they made Taehyun bleed. He could have been killed, Sunghoon.” Yeonjun sighed.

“I know, I’m sorry, they were planning on dumping their trays on Kai and Beomgyu whenever they were sitting down, I don’t know what possessed them to do what they did.” Sunghoon sighed.

“Yes. Jay wants to talk to Emily and Rose.” He nodded.

“Well, you can tell them we don’t want to talk to them.” Emily said.

Soobin listened to the conversation, frowning. “Maybe Emily and Rose should speak to them, maybe they’ll leave them alone after.” He suggested.

Beomgyu’s eyes widened. “Are you crazy, Soobin?!”

“Maybe so. I think that’s a good idea.” Sunghoon nodded as he looked at the girls.

“I guess we could give it a shot.” Emily said, looking at Rose, to see her reaction.

Rose nodded. “Sure, it can’t hurt to try.” She stood to her feet, smiling at Sunghoon. “Lead the way.”

Beomgyu frowned, leaning back in his chair and forcing himself to be quiet, not liking the idea.

“Scream if anything happens!” Yeonjun called after them as Sunghoon led them out of the library.

He opened the door and stepped aside, letting Emily and Rose out.

“Thank you, Sunghoon, you can go now.” Jay said.

“You’re not going to do anything to them, are you?” Sunghoon asked.

“Don’t question me. Now leave.” Jay told him, seeing him back up some before turning and walking off.

Emily frowned. “That was a little harsh, don’t you think?”

Jay laughed, shaking his head. “Not really, doll. He’ll be okay. I just wanted to apologise for that little show back in the cafeteria…” Jay rolled his eyes. “You really chose the wrong crowd.”

Rose frowned with Sunghoon’s question, suddenly feeling a little unsafe. “Try anything and I’ll punch you,” Rose warned, pulling Emily back a little, too. “You guys acted like animals.”

“We have too, you don’t understand.” Jake’s voice came from behind Jay, as he stepped out. “You think Beomgyu and Kai and them are sweet? They’re leading you two on.” He said.

“They wouldn’t do that.” Emily shook her head, as she looked around, seeing the rest of Jay and Jake’s friends hanging out close by.

Jay laughed then, shaking his head. “You want a bet? Those boys are freaks, and they’re going to use you as an excuse to get what they want and then use you for points. There’s a reason no one likes them,” Jay lied.

Rose frowned, shaking her head. “They wouldn’t do that,” she spoke softly, seeing the others step closer.

“Trust us. Niki even used to be friends with Beomgyu but Beomgyu isn’t as sweet as he pretends to be.” Heeseung said.

“What do you mean?” Emily asked.

“He just used me for my friendship to get close to my sister, then he dated her and broke her heart.” Niki said. “I’ve never forgiven him for that.”

Emily frowned. “I don’t believe that.” She shook her head, finding a hard time believing Beomgyu would do that.

Rose frowned. “You know nothing about those boys,” she defended, glaring at Heeseung, unable to believe she found him to be so handsome and sweet earlier. “They’re kind.”

Jay scoffed. “So you think. If you stay with us, we can make sure you’re seen by students as worthy of acceptance. Stick with them, and you’re not worth the dirt on your shoes.”

Emily shook her head. “Why do you guys hate them so much?” She frowned. “I mean, why do you bully them?” She corrected herself.

“They’re easy targets.” Jungwon shrugged.

“That’s not nice.” Emily shook her head.

Jake studied the situation. “Maybe they’re not that nice, either.” He pointed out to Emily. “Have you thought about that?”

Emily opened her mouth to say something but closed it. Maybe Jake was right.

“They could just being nice to you to get on your good side and then they’ll flip.” Jay said, sighing.

“Listen, we are having a party tomorrow night and we would love if you two would come.” Heeseung said, handing Rose an invitation.

Jay smiled, handing an invitation to Emily. “It’ll be a great chance for you both to meet new - better - people.” He pointed out. “Let your hair down as you settle into Korea.”

Rose accepted the invitation, looking to it before looking to Heeseung. “Thanks…”

“It won’t be just us, it will be some of our other friends and some of our girlfriends, they’ll love you two.” Niki smiled.

Emily nodded. “We will try to make it.” She said.

“Speaking of girlfriends, I better go find Jisoo before she wonders what happened to me.” Jungwon smiled, bowing to the girls, “hopefully I’ll see you two tomorrow night. Later guys!” He called before running off.

Rose laughed at Jungwon, shaking her head in amusement. “I wonder if we’ll find a boyfriend.” She nudged Emily playfully.

Jay grinned. “Well, you’ll never know.” He winked at Emily then.
