Xanthe looked at the text from Lucas. She thought he wouldn't want anything to do with her after telling him that she was no longer single. Are you sure? she sent the text. Xanthe wanted to come see it because she could tell that he was excited about building this club that he wanted to run and she wanted to support him, but she felt terrible.

Lucas smiled seeing that she responded, of course I'm sure, it'll be fun, give you something to do for the day..

He also kind just wanted to spend some time with her, get a better gauge on how she was doing.

Xanthe smiled softly at his text. He was right, she really didnt have anything to do today and the last place she wanted to be at was at her apartment that she shares with her boyfriend. Okay I'll come. Send me the address and I'll head right over.

Lucas looked at his phone, as it chimed yet again. He quickly typed out the address, before adding , look forward to it,.

He continued to tidy the place up, and moved to sort out a couple couchs for them to sit on. The place was still so bareboned, but it had potential.

Once she got the address, Xanthe took an uber to his the place that Lucas gave her the address to. It was only a 15 minute ride, but when she got there, Xanthe walked towards the entrance and knocked on the door.

Lucas was still busy organizing the seating when he heard a knock at the door. His heart nearly skipped a beat, she really had come. He made his way to the door, and opened it. He was standing shirtless, covered lightly in sweat, from working all morning. "Xanthe," he said with a big smile.

Xanthe was about to greet him back, but her voice got stuck in her throat when she saw him greet her by the door, shirtless. His muscles were bigger than they were before he left to go to prison, and torso was glistening because of the sweat beads that rolled down. A blush crept onto her cheeks and her eyes darted towards the ground before speaking. "H-hi L-lucas." Xanthe mentally cursed at herself for stuttering.

Lucas smiled and reached forward, lightly pulling her into the space, and began to give her a quick tour. "I'm so happy to see you again," he said softly. He was leading her around the space, with his arm around her waist, holding her close to him. It was odd, considering he knew she was now taken, but it was just force of an old habit. She looked so pretty, if a little less happy than her usual old self

Xanthe couldn't help but feel the familiar spark that she always did whenever Lucas touched her. She knew that she should tell Lucas to let go of her waist especially since she was taken, but it felt good to have his strong arms hold her close to him as they walked around. However, her eyes looked around the space but her eyes avoided the man who was giving her the tour. "It's nice to see you t-too. And this place looks nice so far. I can't wait to see what it will look like when I-it's done."

Lucas walked around with her, and nodded. "Its not much yet, but I'm hoping once its done, it'll be your home away from home, too," he said softly. He led her to the spot he'd tidied up and made a little lounge, although pretty sparse.

"Have a seat, we can catch up properly, and you can tell me about your new man," he said softly, trying to stay positive

Xanthe smiled softly, still didnt look at him. "It still looks nice and I see the potential it will have." She told him. Xanthe was really happy for Lucas about turning this establishment into a night club.

Xanthe felt her body stiffen when when he wanted to know about her boyfriend. She didnt want to tell him that Matteo treats her terribly but she also knew that she couldn't lie to Lucas, because she knew that he could read her like a book.

"W-what do you want to know?" Xanthe asked, fiddling with her fingers which was her nervous habit. Her eyes still avoiding to look at the man she was in love with.

Lucas watched her, and could see she was hiding something, not very well. He shook his head, "How about you start with his name, then tell me how you met him," he suggested softly. He just wanted to hold her, and pull her body to his.

Xanthe finally looked at Lucas, she could see the concern for her in his features. "His name is Matteo,. I met him a couple years ago at my job...when I was a hairstylist." She told him, figuring it was best to not give so much details.

Lucas nodded softly, "so your not a hair stylist anymore? you loved doing that," he said softly. He shifted on the couch, trying to contain his want. He smiled softly at her, "and what's he like? does he let you do what you want?" he asked softly. He could sense from her, that she didn't really want to talk about it, be Lucas was curious, what kind of man had won her over.

Xanthe shook her head. "Not anymore. I mean I do his hair when he needs it, but he told me that once I moved in with him that I didn't need to work anymore." She said softly. "H-he's nice and he is s-supportive." Xanthe lied, avoiding his eyes once more. "I do miss doing hair, and want to go back to work, but I have my duties at home that take most of my time."

Lucas paused, and couldn't really believe what he was hearing, her duties, and she wasnt allowed to go back to work. He shifted and moved over onto the couch she was one, "if he's really supportive, he'd support you doing what you want," he said softly. He gently put his hand on her leg, "does he make you happy?" he asked softly.

Xanthe shudder from the gentle touch of his hand on her leg. Matteo used to make her happy but when she moved in with him. Things have definitely changed for the worse because Xanthe was only a shell of what she used to be. But Xanthe knew that she would never be as happy like Lucas make her. She couldn't give him a straight answer, so she nodded her head though she was lying.

Lucas sighed softly, "look at me, my girl, does he make you happy?" he asked again, turning her face to him. He hated that she wasn't able to look at him, while saying she was happy. It was all wrong, he rubbed her leg gently, "because if not, we could get back together," he suggested softly.

Xanthe didnt answer his question because she knew that he already has his answer. She tried to distract herself from his loving touch on her leg. "I-I can't leave him so that we can get back together... that would make me a horrible person."

Lucas looked at her and shook his head, "no, letting such a positive happy person, wither away like he has, makes him a horrible person," he said softly. He lent in closer to her, "I want to have you around, you make me better," he told her.
