Xanthe relaxed, glad that he bought her life but nodded in response. "H-have a good day at work." She told him, then watched him leave through the front door.

Matteo smiled and nodded, before heading out the door to work. Hoping that today would be a less stressful day.

Once Matteo left the house, Xanthe locked the front door before plopping back down on the couch. She was contemplating on going back to sleep or just stay up. Sometimes she wished that she still had her job as a hairstylist. But ever since Xanthe moved in with Matteo, he controlled her. She wasn't allowed to work, have friends or family over unless they were his friends or family and only when he was home. So usually Xanthe sat at home bored.

Lucas woke late, enjoying the new found freedom of not having a daily schedule. He looked around the empty space and got up onto his feet. He stretched before beginning to get to work on tiding and cleaning up the place, starting in one of the corners. He pulled his phone out, and decided to text Xanthe.

Xanthe decided that she couldn't go back to sleep, so she just curled up on the couch with a mug in her hands, filled with hot tea while watching tv. She heard her phone chimed, wondering who texted her. Grabbing her phone she saw that she received a new text from Lucas, making a smile appear on her lips, immediately brightening her morning.

Good morning. I slept okay. I hope you did as well.

Lucas continued to slowly work away, piling up all the rubbish and furniture to one side. He heard his phone and saw her message.

I slept amazingly, dreamt of you, and our dream of running a club together,

Xanthe blushed. Lucas was always such a sweet talker and it was definitely one of the many things she missed about him. Deep down, Xanthe knew she shouldn't think about getting back together with him especially with his past and his enemies now know who she is, but she couldn't help but wish that things were like they were before hand. [i[Why are you so sweet? A club? What kind of club?

Lucas moved about the space, making plans in his mind. He just so badly wanted to earn her back, make her his again.

Because you make me happy, I was thinking a nightclub he sent back.

Xanthe got up from the couch to wash her now empty mug. I don't really know anything about a night club, especially not running one. I don't think I'm qualified enough

Lucas smiled at her message. You are gorgeous, and fun, all you'd have to do is get customers in the door, he messaged back. Also you have great taste, so helping design the interior, you know bland walls and bars arent exactly fun he added

Xanthe cheeks were hot from the blushing. She wouldn't mind helping him make this dream come true for him, she'd do anything for Lucas. But she was tied to Matteo, and he wouldn't let her go. Xanthe also knew that she should tell Lucas that she wasn't single and that he needs to move on, but her heart was breaking piece by piece just thinking about it. I guess I do have something I could contribue.

Lucas chuckled to himself as he read her response. See I can see such a bright future for us, I bet you'd love the place I've found for it.

He continued working away, aware that it would take alot of effort and work to turn this place around

The guilt was really eating Xanthe up. Lucas was making big plans for their future. He thinks she still single and she didn't want to lead him on. So she finally just told him. That sounds so lovely. I just wish I could help you fulfill this dream with you...but Lucas....I'm seeing someone. she sent, quickly putting her phone down scared for him to read the text.

Lucas went about working, finding things to do. He checked his phone, and kind of just froze when he read it. Of course, he hadn't asked her to wait for him, it wouldn't of been fair.

Oh... that's okay. You're still my girl, if you ever need anything just ask. I hope he treats you right he sent back, after several attempts at typing out a message

Xanthe immediately felt horrible, with her heart breaking as she read his response. She should have waited for Lucas to come back. If she had waited, she wouldn't be in this controlling and abusive relationship with Matteo. She wouldn't be the shell of the person she used to be. Although he told her to not wait for him, she should have anyways. Xanthe didn't know how to respond to his text, she couldn't tell him how terrible Matteo treats her, not wanting him to be upset, but to also keep Lucas from going to prison again. Sighing to herself, she just sent short text. I'm sorry...You deserve someone better than me

Lucas was leaning against the wall, just staring out at the space. He didn't know what to do with the information, he was just lost. He looked at her response and shook his head.

There's no one better than you, again if you need anything. He wanted her to be happy, and from what he'd seen yesterday she didn't seem very happy

Xanthe felt even worse, like her heart broke completely after reading his text. She didnt know what to say to him after that text. Did she already ruined her last chance of having someone who she really cared about in her life by telling him? She wasn't no where happy and sidnt feel safe around Matteo, but she couldn't leave him. Xanthe didnt want to tell Lucas because he would kill him, just like he did when his enemies attacked her.

Lucas went back to his cleaning, and planning in his head. He wanted to make this place amazing, and special. Just in case Xanthe wanted to come and spend time here. It would also be his safe haven, his tie to normal life, after everything

Xanthe decided to leave the apartment since she was bored and to keep her mind off of things. She didnt have anywhere in particular to go to, so she just strolled around until she found somewhere interesting to stop at.

Lucas was still just passing the time cleaning his place up. He sighed deciding to message her again.

Why don't you come see the place anyway, it'll be fun
