I think they were trying to fit too many plotlines into the season..so it just ended up not making any sense. There was just random hookups and occasional heart to hearts. Like if you actually thought about what happened throughout the season you would just be like "What the fuck.." because nothing fits. But thats alright, because I still liked it. At least in the 1st and 2nd season it made a lot more sense (except i hated it when tony got injured. i loved bitchy tony lolz) and it had more substance than just partying and sex. To a certain extent...heh.

I'm still going to miss the series 3 & 4 cast. :( It's always sad when you know you're not going to see them anymore together at least. sad, sad.

I can't even bring myself to watch the season finale after all the complains I've read/heard about it.

I'm really glad there's going to be a new generation. Not that I didn't like the characters in this one, but their story lines were just fucked up (and not in the good way) and nothing worked. The writers did random things just to fit everyone in without explaining anything. Example a - HOW THE FUCK DID COOK GET OUT OF JAIL?! There was zero explanation for that. They had this one story line going with him, where he became more mature and responsible, and then they just completely ruined it. And how do people escape jail that easily, anyway? I get that he was staying with his friends to hide, but don't you think maybe friends' houses would be the first place the police would check? Come on. That whole plot twist just makes me so angry.

Also, where the fuck was Pandora throughout the duration of season 4? She just randomly popped up in episodes and then just went away again. And apparently, she goes to Harvard to stay with Thomas? WTF. I'm not sure what impression the writers are under, but it's really fucking hard to get into Harvard. And no offense, Pandora didn't seem smart at all to me. But suddenly in the last episode she's a genius?

And don't even get me started on what they did with Freddie. Were they really so desperate to end the show that they turned it into a bad horror movie?

The only episode I think they did right was Katie's. They showed another side to her that made me really like her.

I really, really loved season 1 and 2 of Skins, and I thought the second generation characters had potential to be amazing, but the writers really fucked it up. They could have done so much, but instead they rushed things and made up story lines that didn't connect and ended up with a crap season. I hope they learned a lesson from this for the next generation!

I agree 95%. Despite all the bad storylines and mistakes, I acutally liked the characters. Especially Pandora and Cook. But the first gen is definitely the best. I miss them so much. I mean, Tony, Chris, Cassie and Maxxie were awesome characters. In Love

Also, I absolutely HATED that Chris died. Shittest thing ever.

I whited it out because I didn't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it. Cute

i hated that other thing i will not spoil about.
i hate how this season made me cry almost every episode.
i hate how we will not get any answers!

^ that was the only time I ever liked Katie. Through out the whole series I couldn't stand her but I respected her so much at that point.

Also, I made a Skins picture thread. If you're like me, you screenshot the hell out every episode. tehe

I agree, I think Katie was the only thing they got right this season. Emily turned into such a little cow... she started off alright, like fair enough she was upset with Naomi. But in Katie's episode she seemed so horrible. ._.

... except the whole pregnancy thing with Katie didn't work, it just seemed too unlikely.

A Skins movie has been confirmed to be released next summer. Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel have been confirmed to be in it, I'm not really sure what they're gonna do in the film though. The whole idea of a Skins film, feels a bit odd to me.

Where I live, I'm just up to Freddie's episode.
The season hasn't ended yet but I know what's going to happen.

I'm super excited for it but I'm also curious how they'll mix seasons 1&2 with 3&4 in it. Plus I'm very sure I'm going to have a very hard time viewing it in America. Sad

    [Some spoilers XD]
In my opinion, the movie will be mostly about the old gang reuniting...
Tony finding out about his sister and going back, Michelle following him. Sid and Cassie back together going to their home town, Jal having her child, Maxxie coming back with Anwar because he breaks up with James[they need a reason to come back lmfao]...

They all start to bond yet again and Tony will try to find out what happened to Effy, resulting in the second generation coming in. Freddie's death is revealed, Cook's in prison, Pandora gets kicked out out of Harvard [since she's not that smart and she's probably pregnant too], Naomi and Emily are still together and happy, Katie's back to her old bitchy self.

That's how I see it... XD not that believable but at least it's a plotlmfao

Anyone heard about the US version of skins? Sounds exciting, right? Sounds like they could do something really interesting with it, right?
    ... Not. Twitch
It's a complete rip off. It's exactly the same as the original, but they've changed a couple of character names and races.

^It just looks exactly the same just shot in America instead. If you're going to take a TV show at least add something to it instead of just making it Americanised, at least have a bit of imagination. There hasn't been any real effort put into it.

^ Exactly! I was really excited because I thought they'd have like, a new tv show that had the same sort of themes/feel to it as the original Skins did. I was like, yeah that could be pretty good! But, no. It's identical. Apart from a couple of names and stuff. Sid is Stanley now? Ugh.
