Kind of, it depends on how you look at it really.
I was supposed to go to Phuket (In Thailand) when the big tsunami hit. But I didn't go due to last minute changes. I could have died, or survived.

I recently got really dehydrated on holiday and was in hospital for ages, im not really sure how serious it was but i felt awful and it scared the hell out of me, plus im scared of needles and i was constantly having drips in which didn't help the fear issue.

    I did, sort of.
I was in Lapland when I was six with my brother and mother. I was in one of those tiny plastic things you sat in while someone pushed you down the snowy hill. Can't remember what they're called.. :|
But anyway, as I was going down the hill, I hit a hat that was covered in snow. This caused me to go down the wrong side of the hill. I was headed straight for this huge open bonfire.
I hit one of the logs in front of the fire and fliped over it, landing 50sm away from the bonfire.

Next thing I remember, I was sitting on "Sant's" knee.

Before we even got on the plane to go to Lapland, I fell down the stairs at the airport..
    Sign, much? :o

    This winter.
It took five doctors to figure out that I had pneumonia.
I was hospitlized, because it had gotten really bad, and I was given three different medications over a month and a half. The last one worked, for about a week, then I got a relapse, where the pneumonia traveled into my throat, so I had to take more medications.
It was a winter of not-fun.

I haven't really had an experience where I was as likely to die as I wasn't, even though I have been close.

But my Dad has, he said he drowned once, but as he remembers it, after the scary part of choking, it was the most calming and euphoric experience of his life.

Almost makes me want to drown ;)

I had a heat stroke when I was 5ish, that was fun. I was out for a few hours, I woke up on the ground with my parents crying and a police officer pouring water on me.

Another time, I fell off a horse and hit my head on the metal railing of the ring. I ended up landing straight on my back on dirt and broken sea shells.

uhh.... there was this once at the beach somewhere i got lost in this water park for an hour and kept walking around and some random girl that had awesome hair got a security guard and found my family. i was four or so. :)

then i got in so many friggin car wrecks its not even funny. i think theres five or six. the only one i came relatively close to was this damned drunk driver. that was when i was ten....

then, when i was nine, i got this really bad virus and had to be rushed to the emergency room because i couldnt stop throwing up long enough to take anything. i hated when they drew blood. it scared the literal shit out of me. Cry

and then there was once this really bad rainstorm and i nearly pissed myself... i, upon occasion, have a great fear of thunder/lightning and i just just watched part of the exorcism of emily rose so yeah...... it rained really hard for ten straight hours and i couldnt sleep, so every time i heard the thunder or saw lightning, i would stop and start praying. i thought the world was gonna end... mind i was six.... Ha Ha

thats it. if you count almost dying.

i've had three near death experiences.

once when i was an infant, i was riding in the car with my parents. all of a sudden, a deer jumps on top of the car and breaks the windshield. my mom said that there was glass everywhere, & i was the only one who wasn't injured. i only had glass in my hair.

another time, like, two years ago, i was exiting wal-mart. & i didn't bother to look both ways, and all of a sudden my mom pulls me by my collar just as a car passes by. she yelled at me the entire ride home.

& the last time was when i was at dorney park. like, four years ago. i went on those lily pads, and this girl just hops onto the one that i'm on. she sends me flying into the water, which was 5 feet (i was about 4'7 at the time). i start drowning, the life guard does nothing but blow his crappy whistle. so my mom jumps in to save me.

i always find myself thanking her [:

edit: & once when i was around 4 years old, i was choking on a grape. my mom saved me, again.

but there was one time when she lit a sparkler for me, like two years ago, & the sparks fell down my shirt. it was scary.

I was in a pretty bad car accident when I was 13 months old.
Went through the windshield and busted my skull and broke my wrist.
The doctors put me back together and from what I've heard, I made a pretty good recovery.
But my dad gets really freaked out when I'm on a four wheeler without a helmet on.
Car accident left me with 2 holes in my skull.

My mum had to have a suzerain when I was born because my heart stopped, I can't remember the reason but it did. I wasn't breathing for 4minutes and just as they were about to pronounce me dead, i took my first breath. I'm one for dramatics obviously.
When I was six I ran into the road chasing a friend, a car hit me and a few of my ribs punctured a hole in my lungs. I was obviously rushed to hospital and all that. I stopped breathing again for 5minutes, but they saved me.
I chocked on a skittle when i was like eight when I was on holiday. we were driving and went over a speed bump, and i chocked on it. my dad had to like pull over and like Heimlich thing me.
I've stepped out onto a busy road numerous time to only have my friends then grab hold of me somehow and pull me flying backwards.
Almost fell onto the train lines once, my boyfriend of the time never pisses about at the train station anymore.
I've probably done a million more things, but those are the ones that stick in my mind the most.
Gosh, I should have died so many times.

When I was about 10 or 11, I was in the back of the car listening to music on my portable cd player whilst my mum and her then boyfriend were up front.
Basically, my mum was messing about grabbing at the wheel and her boyfriend said "I dare you" and so she yanked it causing us to snip about three times through a dule carriage way and onto the hardshoulder. Second scariest moment of my life.
Moral of the story: don't dare my mum.
