When I was young, I got upset about something and started hyperventilating and I couldn't breathe. My brother made me laugh so he saved my life there.

Another time, I was in year 8 and in my science class. We had the Bunsen burners out and this guy took the rubber part of the Bunsen and held it over the flame of of another Bunsen, the gas was on. According to our since teacher he could of blown us up.

I had a blood disease when I was really young...
    idiopathic thrombocytapenic purpura.

And I didn't even feel sick until they gave me this synthetic blood that I was allergic to. Fun times.... Disgust

When I was born I had craniostenosis, where the premature bone structure occurs. If they hadn't taken out the extra bone, my brain would have put too much pressure on my skull and I would have died.

My uncle Brandon had the same thing as a baby. We both have scars on our heads. His is from the crown to the hair line (forehead) and mine is from ear-to-ear.

    Up to the age of two I had alot of near death experiences;
One time, I painted myself with paint remover, varnish I think, in my eyes, in my mouth, all over, but my dad threw me in the bath and saved me.

Second time, I nearly jumped out of a two story window at age 1 1/2 but my grandmother snatched me away from the window

Third time I swallowed a counter and nearly suffocated to death but my dad managed to get it out.

All three times I was saved by a family member :)

    Yeah I have..
I got hit by a bus last year and I got up straight away but I had to keep going back to hospital because they found a problem with my heart eventually they found nothing serious.
Also my fireplace in my house was leaking carbon monoxide for 5 years but luckly our house is quite open so we were all ok.

I was nearly struck by lightening once. More of a spook than a near death experience, though... It's crazy to see how many of you have been so close to death, though... wow.

I have been diagnosed as "terminal" three times in my life. Being told that you are going to die gives you a whole new perspective of life. I'm actually grateful for it. I don't think I would have ever lived my life as fully as I do now. (:

Well there were I think two times I almost died. The first time was when I was brought hme from the hospital, literally the first night home, my mom said I started to choke on the phlem stuff babies get and I had to be taken back to the hospital because my lips were turning blue. The second time was when I was in 6th grade and I got a resistant staff infection on my foot, which caused an infection in my veins so if it reached my ateries, it would have caused organ problems and I could have died. It took forever to get rid of but that's about it.

    A few times -

    - When i was 7, i had a habit of jumping into water, despite not being able to swim. On holiday in Mallorca, i took a dive into the deep end of our pool and almost drowned. No lifeguards were around so it was my Dad who saved me

    - When i was 14, i went to school as normal and randomly passed out. Woke up in hospital 2 weeks later with acute liver and kidney failure. Doctor's caught it early though.

    - A few months ago i went out with friends for a drink. After one, i felt awfully sick. I ended up in hospital because i was choking on my own vomit and i stopped breathing. It was revealed that i got spiked.

I just realised i have pretty shit luck :/

I choked on my own vomit and couldn't breathe for a while. Not that I have any recollection of the evening.

The only one that ever comes to mind when people ask me this is this incident:
It was 645am and i had just picked up my boyfriend from his house and we were at the stoplight by his house. We were 10 minutes behind schedule so normally when that light turned green i would have instantly hit the gas. But when the light turned green that day i hesitated for some reason. In my head i was like wtf r u doing hit the gas.... The second i put my foot on the gas a kid in a dark grey camry went through the intersection at 90mph through the red light. If i had hit the gas when the light turned green i would have been in the intersection and he would have hit me right in the drivers door and i probably would have either died or been extremely hurt. I had an angel in my backseat that day.

i love water and floating in it, but i never have been that great of a swimmer. i remember i was in a family friend's pool and i don't know if i fell in or was swimming and misjudged the depth, but i was a toddler. I remember i was drowning. It was so scary. My brother and sister saved me. To this day, when I imagine or think of drowning or being consumed in water...that feeling...it scares me.

i remember another time, me being me, i jumped off a rope swing because i give into certain peer pressures too easily...i think i just got water in me this time, and a friend and his dad helped me out. i was so grateful for them.

as i am thinking of this...haha...i think i need to tell people heck no...i broke my ankle because i tried to rollerskate because some sweet people with slight ignorance were pressuring me, so i did it just so they would shut up, even though i know fine and well that i don't know how...they felt so bad

    ---

oh well, and this other time, my friend's mom was driving me, my mom, and my two friends to atlanta because we had to go dance (we weren't very good, but people liked us anyway) in this church event thing, and we said a prayer before we left...and so we were driving down the interstate...and all of a sudden i hear my friend's mom make a noise. I looked up and the moment was becoming slow motion...a car was flipping over towards us...luckily my friend's mom veered the car over a little bit...but then a piece of the flipping car was in the air and i freaked out and covered my eyes as it hit into our windshield and cracked it generously...there was this beautiful, dangerous, and sparkly dust of glass covering us after. We turned the car around and went to see if the driver of the messed-up car was okay.

The driver had been leaving atlanta and talking on her cell phone, when she lost control. She had flipped over the median and into our lane.

some other people had stopped and some pulled her out of her car. She was very lucky. She only had minor injuries. My mom picked up her prom dress out of the street. We found out later that she had gone to prom and kinda dated this guy we know.

If my friend's mom hadn't veered the car over a little bit...we most likely would have collided with the flipping car and it could have been tragic.

I have literally died. Only for one or two minutes, but still, I was dead.

OD'd on painkillers after taking them with alcohol. And people say I'm smart.

When I was two or three I apparently had a bad seizure.

I almost got hit by a drunk driver who was on the wrong side of the road. Granted, I shouldn't have been driving my snowmobile on the road, but I had to crash it in a snowbank to avoid getting hit. I crashed that thing a lot. Why did they ever give me a licence?

Another time I rolled the snowmobile into a ditch in the middle of the night (I was eleven, okay?). What saved me was this fifty-gallon barrel of some sort, otherwise I would have gone into a frozen stream that I had no idea was there. If I hadn't turned the front skis I would have broken my arm. Good times. Mr. Green
