I totally started out reading Lord of the Rings fan-fictions. I loved Legolas. :tehe:

To continue with the first fan-fiction theme, my first fan-fics came from Quizilla. My first one was a Draco Malfoy story, and I have transferred it over here just for the hell of it. It's actually pretty funny to read, because it starts out horrible and gets progressively better throughout. You can tell how my writing has improved, so I owe that to Quizilla.

The only thing I miss about Quizilla are my self-proclaimed "glory days". My story, however critical of it I may be, actually got a lot of attention when the whole HP genre was big. I remember being so proud of myself when one of my updates would hit the 'Most Popular' list.

Looking back, though, I know my story was just popular because it was the cheesy, frequently updated, relatively cliche stuff everyone seemed to be into - just with good grammar thrown in.

I hate to double post, but you know what else I miss about Quizilla? The homepages. Granted, Mibba does have customizable profiles, which is basically the same thing. However, I liked the old Quizilla's homepages a lot, because more layouts were compatible with them, the HTML was easier to work with (for me, anyway), and there seemed to be more you could do with them. Also, my old layout was so cool...I might have to go hunting for it on my computer.

Oh god, yes. I loved the homepages. I remember when Quizilla first got their Forums, and I had no idea what BBcode was or how to use it, and no one really had anything to explain it. I'd spent years teaching myself HTML, and then they had BBcode- ugh! Lucky me, I know both now.

I always wanted my stories on the Most Popular List, or Highest Rated List. At one point, I only read stories on MPL or HRL. But my favorite was lunarstargazer's Yu Yu Hakusho fanfics, and of course, youandmeboth's I'm a Girl in an All Boy's Boarding School?!. kikASSbabe, jmclrnet2, hahaOHYEAHaha, and MothIntoButterfly. I miss them.

    I remember Quizilla.
I found it one night about three years ago. I was bored, and googled "Panic! At The Disco quizzes" and found a good one from Quizilla.
Then I joined, and started writing fan-fic.

I think my first one was some really crappy Bill Kaulitz/Oli Sykes/random girl story. That was weird :lmfao
And I had a Shaant Hacikyan story. And a Ryan Ross one.

    Ah, good times xD

But then Quizilla changed, and I went to Mibba.

    Mibba's so much better, haha.

I used to be on Quizilla, and loved it! Then i found mibba and thought it was kind of confusing, so i didnt bother with it. And then Quizilla completely 180ed everything about their website, and moved onto Mibba (after eventually figuring out how to work it:)) haha.
looking back, Mibba is the better site.

Yes, I remember Quizilla. My first story... I can't even remember what it was, that's how long ago it was! Haha... but basically, the changes were driving me crazy. I liked how I could use layouts once upon a time, but then they basically flipped the site upside down. It was such a shame, even though the site was becoming flooded with some stories that could have used a little more work (spelling and grammar-wise). So, I switched. I don't regret my decision, not for a second.

I'm still on Quizilla, but I think that Mibba is much easier to post on. I still like Quizilla, but Mibba is better hands down. No bugs here! :D

Mibba is way more organized than Quizilla and is pretty much better in every way. But, not gonna lie, I do go on sometimes. I don't sign in though, because I'm lazy. I just kinda lurk around and read whatever good stories I can find(:

Quizilla was the best/worst thing that happened to me.
I was around when the whole 'writing stories' on Quizilla first started. I got inspired to write cause of an author on there.

Then it fucked us all over.

Any story written around 2004-2006 has been permanently cut off and destroyed. I lost my first story ever thanks to Quizilla. I have 5 accounts on it, but I don't use them anymore. I stopped writing for about a year, but then I found one of my favorite Quizillian authors moved here.. so I did too. I'm so happy Mibba.com exists.

I ADORED youandmeboth's story I'm a Girl in an All Boy's Boarding School?!! Do you remember FreeNightFall and sorrow1991? They were on the top lists forever! Sorrow1991 quit before the big 180, she saw Quizilla going to hell and left. I don't know what happened to FreeNightFall. I know YouandMeBoth left too. All the good authors ditched it.

Sorrow1991 wrote a lot of original vampire stories. I have a hard time remembering the titles of them, but her first story was ((I believe was titled)) The Boy Next Door. It was about a vampire named Nick. She was a legend on Quizilla til about 2006-2007 when she left. She took her stories with her so no one can read them anymore. She's like a ghost now Cry

The only original vampire story I remember is MissFreestyle's, and babybrat21's which wasn't original but a Lestat fanfiction (famous back in 2003-2004). I must not have been paying much attention to vampires in 2006.

Now I used to love quizilla, but after they changed it just went down hill from there
    Now I am a proud mibba-fanatic =D

Quizilla was really cool at first. But now it's only filled with "Naruto one shots" and "Who Will Fall For You" quizzes which are really LAME. I miss the old Quizilla...
