I totally started out reading Lord of the Rings fan-fictions. I loved Legolas. :tehe:
To continue with the first fan-fiction theme, my first fan-fics came from Quizilla. My first one was a Draco Malfoy story, and I have transferred it over here just for the hell of it. It's actually pretty funny to read, because it starts out horrible and gets progressively better throughout. You can tell how my writing has improved, so I owe that to Quizilla.
The only thing I miss about Quizilla are my self-proclaimed "glory days". My story, however critical of it I may be, actually got a lot of attention when the whole HP genre was big. I remember being so proud of myself when one of my updates would hit the 'Most Popular' list.
Looking back, though, I know my story was just popular because it was the cheesy, frequently updated, relatively cliche stuff everyone seemed to be into - just with good grammar thrown in.
