Quizilla was amazing a long time ago, but like the previous people have said, it has had its downfall. It's not even recognizable anymore. And someone here said they all seemed the same. It really does! Every story involves some strange Anime character, a Jonas Brother, Edward Cullen, or some other lame celebrity. What shocks me most is that people read that kind of stuff. Things sure have changed!

Three years ago I use to be on quizilla all the time but now ever since they changed the only time I go on is to see if any of the few stories on there I liked have been updated.

I thought quizilla was nice at first. Then, none of the problems I was having with it were being fixed, every story was badly written (On mibba, they're amazing), and the people weren't as friendly.

I´m still a member on quizilla but I must say the site isn´t as good as it used to be. It´s a shame they had their downfall, I´ve loved that site for years.

I joined Quizilla about a year ago and thought it was great the first few months. But I started noticing the problems -- lack of organization, lagging, immaturity. It wouldn't load my updates, and when they did, it was all messed up. Spaces would be deleted, italicize and bold gone, tags deleted. There was also the lack of feedback. Like, I've been on there for over a year and all the feedback I've gotten were two messages (and all they said were, "best story ever!!!"). No

Plus, all the content I see on there now are "You're AMAZING love life with *insert celebrity here*!!11!!!!!11!" or "7 MINUTES WITH *insert celebrity here*" (and yes, I know it's "your").

I miss old Quizilla, I actually liked it more then Mibba, mostly because of the mainstream anime madness.

Seriously... despite that there are more anime related stuff on Quizilla... it still sux now. T.T

I just wish that more anime people could be on Mibba. And maybe some in the same time zone as me...anyways...yeah...

    hey people,
I know how you all feel..
Quizilla changed a lot over the years.
I've spent most of my teen years there, writting stories and making friends
That was untill some group called 'Akatsuki' reported me to Quizilla.
because well I can't say all my stories were that (how do you say it) 'clean'
Sure I wrote a lot of lemons but I always put out a warning for whom ever it concerned. Still I got banned and haven't wrote anything since.
Now I went back last year and well... to say it nicely Quizilla is just fucked up at the moment. It's just not relaly Quizilla anymore.
And god I miss writting things, not that my spelling or gramma was good but it was cool how you people always respected that, or wanted to help out.
Like we were all one big family.

I wonder what this site may bring, as in wat can be done here.
And if there are any good stories and old friends roaming about.
People just let me know if you feel that same....

It kinda feels good to be back.
I'm not sure if anybody still remembers me but I was called 'Freenightfall' 4 to 6 years back. I wrote a lot of stories about Darren shan, Seshoumaru, loads of lemons, some story about a roman gladiator, and a bodyguard.

I'm looking for old writters I guess, peopel that haven't quit on their 'dreams' yet.
Who are still writting for the fun of it.. Just let me know ok

Like to hear from you soon!

I really miss the old Quizilla.
They messed it up when they updated it and got rid of the layouts. (Which never came back.) I check it from time to time, but nothing changed except almost all of my stories somehow got deleted!

Mibba is so much better, there is more organization and more My Chemical Romance and Avenged Sevenfold fanfics that are worth reading. :)

I'm not really sure why everyone's always going on about "old Quizilla". In my opinion, Quizilla was never good.

It's always been filled with terrible spelling, plots and Mary Sues. The only difference is that the formatting sucks more now, and the stories have gotten slightly cleaner.

There will always be a couple of good writers, but for the most part Quizilla has always been a place for teenage girls to write really bad stories and as they get older, write less bad stories and eventually leave when they realize that they're too good for Quizilla.

The reason why the old Quizilla seems so much better is because we were all younger and more easily impressed.

^ I started out on Quizilla at age 9 and left at age 16. The real "old Quizilla" wasn't as hectic and cluttered. It was a simple layout, simple colors, no games, no forums, no extra links. It was all just simple. That's why I liked the old Quizilla.

I kind of miss the old Quizilla too :'( It was simple and nice.
But i guess it's true. We were all young and easily impressed like Ursula said. I remember when I used to think that almost all of the stories there were good enough to be published.
Now most of the good authors have moved here.
That's why I'm here, I followed my favorite authors and started reading here instead xD
The only reason I still have my account there is to check if some old authors I still like updated their stories.

OH MY GOD! Someone agrees with me!
It's like when the original owner sold out to teennick he sold out his general principle. He made that site for WRITERS. And now it's all about those crappy little awful grammar morons.

I'll admit, back when I joined I tried to write some stories and my grammar and spelling makes me want to gag..if not cry a little (lol) but at least my stories were unique. Now it all seems so copy paste.

Personally, I blame it on removing the ratings system. (Here's where I normally get "forum raped") I believe that if people could actually RATE (Mature, Everyone, Teen) like they used to be able to, not half the quizzes would get removed. Several of my favorite authors had several chapters (containing important information) deleted simply because there was
    1.) Strong Language
    2.) Sexual Content
    3.) Violence or "Taboo Topics"

Now, I'm not saying "Bring meh teh LEMONS!!!" I'm saying I liked several stories that were rated mature for having "Suggestive" (not in detail sex scenes) or "real" scenes (abuse) and they were completely removed because little kids who were lying about their age to set up their account found the content to be something their mother wouldn't approve of and reported it.

In addition to several great writers being chased off, leaving countless stories abandoned, the moderators refuse to respond, the site is impossible to navigate, and in general it's not maintained.
Also the ads for their crappy teennick shows get super old, super fast.

Phew....I think that might be all for that little rant right there...
Hopefully people on here aren't like
"You love teh smut! You are NASTY You need to go die. Go raed some porn elsewhere satannnnn!"

Also, really sorry to double post, but after reading through the entire, from-the-first-page story, I had a few more things to say...

    1. Text chat, was awful. I use it when I forum rant, and message (but not when giving serious feedback...unless it's lol)
    2. I kind of like one-shots. It's like...reading a good story when you don't have time or too impatient to wait for the next chapter..because a lot of the time they were morons who would pull the "I'm not releasing it until I get such and such votes" (Guilty for my first story though)
    3. My first *attempt* at a story was a Miroku/Inuyasha type story, I gave up after one chapter. It's been up for 4 years and has 200+ views and 0 ratings/feedback. My first serious one was a Deidara one for my cousin, I got a few ratings but no messages...she took it and put it on her account and got messages daily and tripled the views...but gave me no credit at all for the story. All she did was request it pretty much, with some input on his personality and the character she wanted to be.

Well...I think that's a bit too much for me to overload this forum with...

(PS. After scouring the Quizilla forums, I can't find any mention of Mibba today....do moderators delete any mention of it now?)

I started my online writing at Quizilla totally forget how i found it. But at first i loved it and what not but then got tired and bored. the i found MIbba and i like it sooooo much more. I still go on my account cus i have a story (that is slowly dewindling/ i feel bad for my semi-little readers). I swear if i see another fan-ficition about the jonas brothers, twilight, or anything else that been repeated over a million times ill go insane.

Plus quizilla has to many restrictions, my lemon (aka sexually creative stuff) have been reported so many times, i just gave up. to many single minded childish people on that site. So mibba is my favorite site. =)

I used to love quizilla and the many fatures of how you could change your stories, add music backgrounds almost anything. Now it's just...full of crap sorry to say.
The only reason why I'm mostly on mibba than quizilla.

@Jessiehasdreams: EXACTLY , I mean I generally like vampires and always have WAYYY before twilight and I remember reading this one story and gosh it was just incredible. Although it had a bit of lemon to it but hey it made the story mature and just a lot more intense than it already was. Now ever since the change I can never find such great stories as that was, it's always the same "OMGSH THERE'S A VAMPIRE LIVING NEXT TO ME AND MY BROTHERS NOT REALLY MY BROTHER"...crap.

The last time I was on quizilla, the stories were taken over with stuff like....
'A Emo Prince Kidnapped me and We Have To Get Married! But I'm A Prep'
    and
'I'm Just A Nerd, So Why does the Popular Jock Try To Get In My Pants?'

Run on titles, and cliche plotlines
lmfao, they're hilarious to read actually.

Quizilla is filled with a bunch of lame stories like that. Very cliche and overdone. I made the move from Quizilla to Mibba when they started making all their changes almost 3 years ago. I'm glad I did. Mibba seems more professional and put together.
