When other people read your work (Mibbians, friends, family...) what do they think of it?
My family and the other people I know have no idea that I write stories and stuff. I don't want them to know, either.

I mean, no one in real life has ever seen anything I've written. My brother would think it was hilarious, my mum just wouldn't take it seriously, the rest of my family would just laugh at me. I have two uncles who both told me and my brother that you don't get anywhere by being creative...so, yeah.

Well almost everyone knows I write. My family sortof does because I used to write silly poems and short stories when I was little. And my friends also know, even from pre-Mibba times. And well people at school know that I write because I sometimes write things for school.
But I don't really like to show them what I write. It feels awkward to give them my stuff to read, force them to read it and ask for an opinion. Just awkward.

But dunno try to make a move on your family. My mom's really supportive. She knows I'm a creative person and I don't want an office job. And it's good because it won't come as a shock that after I finish high school I won't get into law or med-school or anything like that. Try to show them small pieces of your work. You might be surprised.

My mom brags about me to her friends XD Sometimes she takes some of my short stories and shows them to her co-workers (she is a teacher). She wants me to get published and make a career out of writing if I can. My older sister likes my writing to, though she thinks with the disturbing pieces I give too much away. My little sister couldn't care less and my dad will go with anything I say. So I guess I can say I have a really supportive family when it comes to my writing.

    my mom knows I write.
basically, because, i've showed her a few poems, and, i spend a good part of my time typing away on the laptop, or writing in my notebook. she knows what my dreams are, and she keeps faith in me.
my dad doesn't care, my sister tries to sneak into my writing and read, and my little brother is oblivious to everything.
my aunt and my grandmother know, they think it's pretty cool. they like my writing a bit, but they think my style is strange.

My mom knows I write though I don't think that she knows what I write, and I really don't wish for her to know. She would totally freak out about some of the things that I write. My friends know that I write, and they read it before I post it most of the time. I actually got one of my friends to join Mibba, though I don't think that she has been online for a while. Oh well. Anyways I am fine with my friends reading my writing, but I don't want my family to read it because they would all think that I had serious problems and probably take the computer from me and try to put me in a crazy house or something.

I keep my writing pretty much locked away from my family. I don't like them being involved in anything artistic that I do...which is sad, I guess, but I don't want any type of criticism or feedback from them. I'm too sensitive for that.

Only one of my friends in "real life" knows that I write fanfiction. I think most of them would think it was creepy that I'm writing about real people, and I don't really care enough to stand up for myself, if that makes sense.

My parents don't know that I still write now. They know that I used to when I was younger. They saved all of my stupid little stories.
But I wouldn't want them to know. I ... don't like having people I know in real life read my stuff. In school when were writing I even dumb myself down, I'm that uncomfortable with people I know reading what I write. It's a little odd.

Two of my real life friends read my stuff, as they are mibbians, and they say it's good and that I'm a great writer and shit.

Well, my family knows I write, seeing as I've been writing since I was very young. But none of them know specifically what I write now, seeing as it's mostly slash, and I'd be disowned if they found out.

Only one of my friends really knows what I write, and she thinks I'm quite good. I tend to not listen to her though, because she doesn't give me any real feedback. I think another one of my friends knows that I write and she doesn't really approve, but we don't speak about it.

My mom reads my stuff sometimes.
Then she always talks to me about how I should change the names and make it OF.

My dad knows I enjoy writing, but neither of my parents know I've ever actually written a story. I don't want to tell them because they'd think I need therapy or something...

Four of my friends know I write, although only two of them read it. I never really talk to them about it though, because they think it's a bit messed up that I write about band members.

I actually don't like people that I know [in real life] to read my writing :tehe:
    It makes me incomfortable!

Bt I let my friends like, read a few poems I did when I'm bored in class. But that's it, nothing more!

My parents know I like to write; but they don't know just how much I like it.
Only one of my friends know about the things I write for Mibba and stuff.
That's just, I guess, how I like it.
Most people like the stuff I write for school, though.

Mum knows I write, but she doesn't know what I write, because I think she'd be kinda freaked out.
and my sisters and my brother know I write, too, but once again, they don't know what I write, and I want to keep it that way.

I don't mind my Mum, Nan and best friend reading my stories.

But basically half our class knows I used to write Frerard now

I hate people reading my stories before I've finished the chapter or something. If someone tries to snatch my book in the middle of a chapter, I'll go off on one :tehe:

My mum and dad know I write, and that I post it on here. I don't think they really know what it is about though. I don't really let them read any- and I don't think they would want to. They try to discourage it because 1. I spend to much time on "that chat site". and 2. They want me to go into Medicine or science and all I talk about is Journalism and Media.

Alot of my friends know that I write. Most think it is all "boysex" because of their mild Mibba experiences. Two, maybe three read what I write. One is obsessed with my newest story. The other likes everything I write- so she says. :cute:

My whole fmaily knows that I write, but that don't know what I write about. My mum knows about Mibba but she doesn't know that I post stories here.
I have two friends that read stuff I write and say they like it, but sometimes I feel like they have to say that because they are my friends.

My parents know that I write. They have read all my old stories. The ones I wrote before I even knew fan fiction existed. (A time long long ago when I was more innocent. A time when youth wasn’t so terribly corrupted. :tehe: (Okay, lies all lies, but I like to pretend. :XD ))

They haven’t read anything since late 2005 though. But I think I’ll print some original fiction and make a little collection to place in the living room so they can read it if they feel like it. (Since they nag all the time. They can’t understand why I won’t let them read my stories. Oh, shock surprise. Wonder why I don’t want them to.)

I used to let them read my poems and lyrics. But I’ve been living in my own little writing world for a while. Hum, I should definitely pick a selection and print and give to them so they’ll keep quiet for a while.

Let’s see now, what more. I have a RL friend who has a mibba account. She read my Green Day fics. But I don’t know if she still does and I have no idea if she reads anything else I’ve written or not.

A High School teacher of mine wanted me to e-mail her my stories. But she changed her e-mail and I lost/can’t remember/whatever her e-mail so that never happened.

And all stories I’ve written for school always has this nasty way of getting read to the class. >__>

Everyone tells me that they think I have such a way with words. I don’t know. But that’s what they say. Hopefully it’s true. (At least to some extent.)

Ah, anyway. I would never let anyone in my family read any of my fan-fics though. They’d disown me instantly. :XD

My parents know I write, but my mum knows about the sort of stuff I read online and she says that she hopes that I'm writing "nice" things. Which means that she hopes I'm not writing sex or "depressing" stuff.

If she knew about some of the stuff I wrote she'd probably ban me from the internet, and I don't even write sex scenes. She thinks I should write about rainbows and butterflies or something, honestly. She hates angst. xD
