I do believe our clock is in 12, because it takes approximately 24 hours for the earth to do a full turn, which is what we measure days buy, it's just more convenient for most to work on a twelve hour clock as opposed to a twenty-four hour one.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.
There are many, many people that use a twenty-four hour clock, such as myself. They're easier to use than a twelve hour clock, which can lead to confusion.

    Twelve hour:

    "Hi, it's three here."

    "AM or PM?"
    --

    Twenty-four hour:

    "Hello, it's fourteen here."

"OK, well meet me at the coffee shop at fifteen, alright?"
People around here aren't clever enough to comprehend that, I live in an area with poor education etc, if I did that I'd get funny looks :XD
Oh, well that may just make it harder.

You should see the other side of a black hole. :coffee:
Oh dear, that does not sound comfortable.
    That's because I'm there :tehe:

Black holes really frighten me :shifty
They sound like cheese.:XD sorry, I had to type that.

They sound frightening, but the chance of me being very close to one is... not there.

    Good luck.

That actually does seem fun though.

You know what? I think I'll do that if I ever have the chance.

    8) My promise to you.

By the way, I am actually eating Fetta right now.

I so cannot read 24 hour time. It just doesn't click! Haha.
Time freaks me out sometimes. Like, it's so hard to believe that in one country, they're at a time that we've already had. Does that make sense?

1- What is time? Time is how humans experience a steadily forward moving universe , instead of experiencing infinity all at once, which they can't handle because humans are finite. So since humans are finite and cannot comprehend infinity, they experience the fourth dimension as mono directional "time".

2- Does time have a beginning/end? The universe is infinite, nothing has an end. everything always is, the paradox is just humans not being able to properly perceive infinity because they are a finite part of an infinite universe.

3- Does time exist in it's own dimension? Yes, the fourth, though i don't think four dimensions is all there are, infinite universe, makes sense there would be infinite dimensions. Since humans are finite that just blows their minds though.

4- Should our ideas on time's existence be based around the big bang theory? No, the big bang is incorrect in that it fails to take into consideration the fact that everything that existed then, exists now. time moving only forward in a single line is the mistake. Again, caused by finite minds trying to percieve infinity as finite.

5- Is time relative, absolute or universal? (or a combination of the three) . Time is universal . everything always is. Failure to perceive it as such, as i have said, is simply the inability of humanity to properly perceive everything always being all the time.

Thank you! I thought I would have to point this out to someone "time" is an invention of ours to help humans, similar to the invention of the alphabet or numbers, except time is linked to the position of our sun relative to us other people could use completely different systems!.. Flying around the world backwards doesn't change time, it just means you are in a different part of the world, where the sun is at a different angle

if time is just a series of events happening in order and nothing exists as a "past" or "future" does this mean that time travel must be impossible? Is everything right now the only time it will ever exist?

Absolute infinity does not mean time travel is impossible.

It means time travel is simply a shifting of perception.

Everything that you have ever perceived to have happened in the past, is still happening, this is true for everything that has ever happened. This is also true for everything that could ever happen, and everything that could not ever happen.

Again, the paradox is our inability to truly perceive infinity.

The human mind needs order to make sense of things, this is proven in hundreds of different ways if you think about how our world works. Everything has human order imposed upon it, this included how we perceive time.

Who believes that? The big bang theory doesn't, most modern physicists don't, from what I've read.

Time isn't a linear event, it's more of a ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff (Chronon Energy). If that energy is harnessed and altered then time travel in either direction is possible. The best way of movement is through a time tunnel or vortex into which space can be used to direct the vehicle to a certain point.

It's a matter of technology and sufficent energy in order to do it.

When you think about it you can't travel back in time because the only reason you'd travel back in time is to change or learn something and if you went back to get it, that means that once you came back you'd have no reason to be there... If that makes sense. It did in my head. :XD

But you are assuming you would arrive at the exact moment that you required the information which may not happen. You may arrive a day (or more) earlier where you will need to hide from your other self because it would be too big a paradox. You also might be late in which people will wonder where the hell you've been.

I would travel in time just to see what there is out there and such things, not so much for educational purposes but for no real reason at all except that I'd like to see the past.
