    ^^ Your welcome.
It is restraining but it's my religion.
    What about you people?
If you could have a tattoo what would it be?

Personally, I want one of a flying bird and lyrics. Like on my shoulder.
    >.>Too bad I can't really get it.

Are you saying you can only get tattoos if you're pretty?

What crap, seriously. Getting a tattoo is never about impressing someone else, it's about you and for you, so therefore it doesn't matter what you look like, your skin is a canvas and that's the end.

Could you explain what you mean by this please?
    I sense a bias-ness in this statement.

I adore tattoos. I got two of them in probably a six month span right after my eighteenth birthday. My mom actually called me up one day while going on about how she was getting a tattoo and wanted to know if I wanted one too. So I hightailed it to the tattoo parlor and got me my first tattoo paid for by my mother. It's of a crescent moon with clouds and a few stars around it.

My second tattoo was gotten a couple months later on the same day my mom got her second tattoo. The second one is of a tree with a cat stretching on it and a small crescent moon in the background. Both tattoos are on my upper back near my shoulders.

The moon didn't hurt much, but the tree one hurt a lot. It was really big and cost me a hundred dollars. It spans for probably... give or take a little less than a foot. I think because it was on my shoulder it hurt more because of the bone.

Both were done with a professional and at the same place by the same person. I think if someone gets a tattoo on a part of the body that is mostly bone it's going to hurt a lot. Otherwise, as long as it's not regrettable, tattoos are pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure that even though I'm really young right now, I'm not going to regret anything in the future.

I actually plan to get another one in the future. Since I currently have two moons on my back, I wanted to get a sun in the middle. I think the sun would be brilliant and have a lot of meaning. Since I grew up mostly in New Mexico, it would have a really great significance. I need to do research and try to create a design that has some New Mexican influence.

I would never get one in an obvious place for now. I don't know what the rest of my life will be like or what kind of job I'll be getting, so for now the only tattoos I'd get are ones that can easily be hidden. For anyone really young planning on a tattoo I would really advise not getting one in a very visible obvious place.

I think if I ever get another tattoo (Which I plan to) I'd design my own. Because then I'd know that no one else would have the same one as me. :cute:

I don't agree with the 'ugly people can't get tattoos' statement above. But I do feel that someone who is overweight (when it isn't caused by a genetic disorder, that is) should be wary of getting tattoos. If they loose weight in the future the skin would be stretchy and wrinkly where the skin is still big enough for an overweight figure.

    That statement is true.
They should be wary but they shouldn't be against.
    Its creative license right?
Because if you're happy with it, then who really cares about what your next door neighbour says.

I love them, but I think people go way too far with them. For example, Nikki Sixx has tattooes on both arms, they're covered. I'd only get one on the top of my arm.

Its probably because I've grown up with Tattoos, both my parents have tattoos and piercings for that matter.
I'm comfortable with the idea of tattooing and I find them very attractive x]

What rubbish about the ugly people getting tattoos statement.
Anyone can get a tattoo and it doesn't matter if they are ugly or not.

I agree. And who's to say who's ugly and who's not?
And besides, tattoos are art. They're beautiful and by getting them you are given the chance to control your own beauty in a way.

I love them. I'd love to get a few when I'm older, I just won't tell my parents.

I dunno about tattoos, I mean I like'em, but sometimes I imagine myself an 80-year-old pickle with flappy skin and some awesome quote in some rad language on the inside of my lower arm and it's creepy, lol.
I know you can get them removed, but it hurts, it's expensive, and it doesn't completely go away.

Yet, most people want their tattoos to remain on their skin forever.. at least that's the point to me. I don't want it to go away.
I think it is awesome when I am 80 and sit in my comfy chair, looking at my food and think "Aww how lovely was this day, 60 yeras back when I got the tattoo with my best friend" It is like a memory you can touch.

It's not going too far, it's a love for them that drives people to keep getting them, I already have my leg sleeve planned out and it begins work next month.

I was never sure if I wanted one but recently I've really grown to love the idea. I'd really like some Jack's Mannequin lyrics on the inside of my wrists. Only my parents would kill me and then probably disown me :tehe:
