Writing Habits

Generally when I pause while I'm writing, I just have to "bounce" my leg.
Most of the time I need to have something near me to, like, "twirl" around my finger or something. Like string. Or [my personal favorite] a slinky. :XD

I bite my fingernails awful habit

I listen to music and smoke...alot.

I chew my fingernails, but not until they like, come off.

I play with my lip piercings a lot. :XD

I bite holes in my bottom lip. Seriously, it's riddled with holes and scars from holes. I also run the pendant on my necklace across its chain repeatedly or constantly readjust my glasses. Oh, and I chew on my flesh. Not my nails, my skin. Yeah, it's kind of gross.

It doesn't matter if I'm working on my computer or in a notebook, but I HAVE to have a pen of some sort in my mouth

Ditto to the extreme. I also can't sit normally in a chair with both of my feet touching the floor. They have to be up or crossed or something. Sometimes when I write something that is inspired by music, I can listen to music. More often than not I need complete silence when I write or else I get iritable.

I listen to music, like what ever the character's favorite song is or the song that fits the mood best.
I will act out facial and hand expressions(witch I also do when I'm reading.)
I also bite/chew my lip and/or necklace and play with any other jewelry I have on.
And finally, potato chips. I always think better with potato chips. I have no idea why.

Depending what I'm writing, I might bite my nails. I often chew the inside of my lip when I'm concentrating, too.

I always have to have a drink on the desk next to me, and something to snack on if need be. I have a tendency to get extremely focused and into whatever I'm writing, and I hate having to get up and move around because often I'll lose my train of thought.

I type with one hand and play with a slinky in the other. :file:

I wouldn't really call this as a habit but every time I write, I would often take several breaks and pump the volume of my iPod stronger. I don't know why I do that. Maybe I get really hyped when I write. :tehe:

I write a lot of my stories at the back of my Filipino (it's another complicated language here. >_>) just because. I guess I do it because I hate that subject a lot, 'cause in my mind it makes me feel badass and rebellious.

I tend to put loud music on and sing really badly. That may be why I have so many unfinished stories in my folder. :XD
I also force people to read random sentences while I'm writing, just to make sure it flows.

I don't really do much else, except get distracted.

I always keep a eyeliner in the bathroom on the sink. I get a lot of ideas while I'm taking a shower, so I just pop out of the tub and write the idea on the countertop and then get back into the shower. If I don't do that, by the time I get a chance write down my idea, I'd already forget it.

I pretty much always have to have coffee when I'm writing.

I didn't notice this, but according to my mother, I chew my lip.
