Are You Related to Any Historical Figure?

apparently, I'm related to some French Knight that was part of the crusades...that's what gran told the family! :D

One of my ancestors was Charles Dickon's next door neighbour :D I was amazed when my mum told me that. She said that this ancestor, I don't know if she was a great, great, great Grandmother or something, but her and Charles Dickons were apparantly very good friends.

I think I just figured out I might be related to a silent film actor. :crazy:

The best I've got is a highwayman on my dad's side and both my grandfathers fought in WWII. One was a fireman and the other was in the Navy, his submarine got blown up and he was stuck in the water for over 48 hours.

I'm related to the last person who got off the boat The Lusitania (like the Titanic only way more awful). Not really famous person from history, but...it's a good story.

Some of my relatives were supposed to go onto the Titanic, but the didn't.

I also had a great-oncle (yes, Oncle) that was a foot solider for Germany in WW2. He died. In my history class we had to take about family that 'died' in a war and I talked about him and about 5 guys attemped to beat me up because i was relatived to the 'enemy'.

And my great-reat-aunt Vi, she flew planes in WW2, one of the first woman to recieve her pilots liscene in Canada, one of the first female Bush Plane pilots, she also recieved An Order of Canada Award, and she is getting her own stamp that will be issued and sold across Canada! And she is still alive. I feel so proud to related to her. I gave a speech about her in grade 8 and won an award for it, and she knows. she gave me a hug when she found out. And I made a project about her for Careers class and my teacher thought I was lying, til I told him to 'goggle her'. I got 100% on the project.

My great-great-great grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Transylvania.
So I always find that amusing.

I found out yesterday that I'm related (distantly, of course) to Abraham Lincoln!. I personally find this an epic win :file:

I may also be related to King Edward VII, but no-one is really 100% sure of that, and they'll probably never find out.

well umm, the only thing I can think about is I'm related, on my dad's side, to one of the men, who fought under Svend Gønge against Sweeden. does that count?

Well, my mother told me that on her side of the family, up until my great-grandfather, all of our previous relatives were morticians and that one of my ancestors invented embalming fluid. I thought that was pretty neat. And then she also told me that a lot of my family was in the Ku Klux Klan. That, is not so neat. Haha.

My great great great great uncle is Rob Roy Mcgregor. A famous outcast know as the Robin Hood of Scotland.

My mom recently married into a family so now I guess I can say I'm semi-related to a popular singer that was up in the Washington/Canada region. I don't know her name, my step dad forgot it.
