I want to name my kid Fletcher despite the gender and every time I say that, people literally tell me my kid will hate me for it. I think it's adorable... Shifty
I LOVE Fletcher In Love not so much for girls, but it's one of my favorite boy's names.

Bad idea: naming your kid after a virtue/trait/whatever. I mean, Chastity? That's almost a dare....

I don't think naming children after virtues is bad (my name is Hope), but Chastity does go a bit far, in my opinion. I wouldn't want my kid to have the same name as 'the practice of refraining from sexual intercourse'.

Apparently the boy's name Chase is quite popular in the USA. I know the name probably means something serious like 'brave warrior', but I just think of the modern meaning of the word when I hear it, which makes it sound silly. Same goes for Chuck. I just don't think most names which are also common words are very flattering.

I know a little girl who's name is Kyndl. Pronounced 'Kendall' but spelt Kyndl.

I mean, really? Do you know how many people will misspell her name? Do you know how many kids will snicker behind her back?

I want to name my son either Boston or Pascale. But every time I bring it up all of my friends say that they would never let me do that, that it would be a terribly decision. My sister said that if I named my son Boston his nicknames could include: Ton, Boss, Boston Baked Bean, and the list goes on Facepalm

I think that they are both adorable names for a boy... but I don't think any one else does Sad

I always loved the name Luka (boy). I also love Brontë (girl), Katri (girl), Keegan (boy/girl), Kai (boy - name comes from Kaien), and Shiiva but many people think they are all weird. XD

^ Bahaha! That's just great! XD

    Hmm, a name that I don't really like...Think
    Maybe Rheanna. Ray-anne-uh.
I don't really hate it, I just don't think it sounds good. There's something off about it.
I also don't really like when people try to come up with a completely new, unique name.
Sometimes people actually do think of some interesting & pretty names, but most of the time, it just sounds like they were trying to hard.
That's just my opinion though. Shifty

I'm generally not one to judge other people's names, but there was a woman on a local talk show that named her baby "Lulu."

That's fine for like, a nickname, but that child is gonna catch it from the kids in school when they get older. I know how it is, I got whammied by all three of my names: nobody can properly pronounce "Jana," "Kandi" is "a stripper name," and my last name is the same as a popular fast food chain Facepalm
