Books You Would Like to Read

Dante's Inferno. I try, I really do, but I end up giving up after a few days.

Plan to read only one/two cantos every day before you go to bed or on the train/bus to work/school or whenever you have 10-15 minutes to spare.
It's the only way I could finish it.

I really want to have another go at Joyce's Ulysses. And read The Waves and To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf.

That's a really good idea. I actually went out and bought a copy of the Divine Comedies at BN after I posted here. For anyone who's interested. You can get the entire collection for under twenty bucks at Barnes and Nobles now.

Lord of the Flies and Plato's works..... summer reading, weee! lol. And the rest of Shakespeare's works, of course. I've read most now, but... yeah. heh. still have a more to go! :D

I want to get round to reading The Odyssey. I quite liked The Illiad, so hopefully my history teacher will lend it to me.

I would like to read Psycho by Robert Bloch.

I want to read Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck because I'm sure it's good for my mind but I simply cannot. I can usually deal with boring books but this is too much.

I would also like to read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.
Has anyone read it? If so, would you recommend it?

I personally liked it. It goes quite slow during the begining though.

I want to read something on Kurt Cobain. :file: His journal/notebook thing is one my list of things to get for my birthday.

I wanna read The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. I'm dying to read it. It is exactly the type of book I will love. But I can't find it so meh; I'll watch the movie. It's meant to be coming out this year. Gus Van Sant.

^ LOTR is amazing, but I think it's a bit of an acquired taste. I've tried to make my friends read it and they're all adamant that it's boring, but I adore it :tehe:

I really want to read Valley of the Dolls. And this huge book by Umberto Eco that my mum has in her room :XD

I want to read Wintergirls so bad. But I have a killer fine at the library at the moment, and the school library doesn't have it and I don't feel like requesting it or ordering it from another library. So it is really all my fault.

On the Road by Jack Kerouac. My friend gave it to me for Christmas and I just haven't gotten around to reading it, but I really want to. I don't know what's stopping me, because I've read the first few pages and it was amazing. ._.

Lovely Bones. I don't remember what it's about but the title sounds good and I saw it on my cousin's table for a while last summer and had this urge to read it but I never did.

I want to finish the Cirque Du Freak saga as well as the Warriors series. I started both series but never finished lol.

I now want to read The Other Boylene Girl. :tehe: But I'm already reading Birds Nest Soup, Charlie [Lesley Pearse], Short Stories [Poe], Becoming Queen [Victoria, durh :hand:], and I have to read To Kill A Mocking Bird for school, so I shall wait before I get another book. -cries-

I want to read the Harry Potter series over again, but I never have the time anymore. :(
