My new story Room 242 was so hard to pick a title for. I originally had it as Intangible Darkness and then Lost in the Moonlight [which I used as the section title], but both of them sounded ridiculously like abstract poetic bullshit to me.

Sometimes it's hard to pick a story title the conveys both the plot, message, and tone.

What do you guys think of the title Black Sweatshirt Kids?
I have a plot and stuff, but I mostly like the title but I'm not sure how good it sounds to other people.

(If I write a Sick and Sain sequel, I think I'll used that one...)

^^I like it. You even suggested that for what is now Matters, and even if it wasn't appropriate then, I'm sure you can find a way to make it fit for the sequel. :D

It also sounds kind of catchy and unique. So use it somewhere. Haha.

I need help with a story title. It's going to be a Panic! At The Disco/Fall Out Boy story. No slash. At least not yet. I'm just starting it.

If I see another title named after a song, or famous lyrics, or a band.
I will throw myself off a bridge -_))

Liz and I are co-writing and story and we were brainstorming titles and she suggested Therapeutic Chain of Events and I was like...

"Only if we put in the summary that you came up with the title."

    -giggles-

One of my biggest regrets story-wise is naming a story "How Could This Happen to Me?".

We decided to name the story Dead End Kids. [Her title.]

I don't mind some stories after lyrics that aren't as well known.

I hate it when they name it 'you know what they do to guys like us in prison'

I've seen around 20 stories with that title -_))

Andie uses a lot of song lyric titles, but I don't know unless she tells me.
A Dangerous Face and an Almost Illegal Taste is actually a Cute is What We Aim for lyric with an extra word. 'Almost' isn't in the song.

I use lyrics to songs that are like, thirty years old... Does that count? I mean, has anyone ever heard the line She Can Lock You In The Nighttime Till Your Skin Turned Red? ...If you have, then...Well...Gr.

Sick and Sain is a misheard Panic! At the Disco lyric. But I knew it was wrong anyways. It's 'sick sad patients on first name basis...' (I think...)

Haha, really? What did you think it was? Sick and sane something something? hehe.

But titles really are hard. sometimes, they just come, but I usually sit for hours going "bleh!". For Fallen and It Wasn't, (my first two stories, one's finished, one's not), the titles came quick. After that, it got tricky. But one of my most recent ones, Michael, the title came so easily because the entire story centers on (duh) Michael and his last name.

I think up my titles last minute, I've ended up changing one but that's it. I got The Glass Depression, which was a spinoff from The Great Depression. Splendor with the Chance sort of goes with it's prequel, I'm Willing to Take My Chances- which is a song lyric. Red-Light District...well if you know your history that's self-explanatory. They're not all that great but I love them anyhow.

    Good.
That's how it's supposed to be.
You have no idea how many damn times I listened to that song while writing it...
And as a randmom note, my friend told me Sick Boy is a Kill Hannah song. I think the chorus is "I I I love love love you you you sick sick sick boy boy boy" or something. Never heard it.

I always find titles hard. I have 2 stories on mibba. My first I called "It was the collision of your kiss which made it so hard." Its ok..but it is a really long title. I think I should of made it shorter...but my other one was based on small one shot stories which I decided to call "The Frankie Files" I thought it suited the story.

    God, I never realized that.
I guess 'cause I don't like them that much...
    But they're good.
