Articles

Articles can be any piece of largely non-personal expository writing. Largely personal writings should be posted as a blog.

• Politics: Any article discussing an election, politician or political topic.
• Entertainment:Articles discussing types of media, websites, or movie and music news,
• World: Articles discussing international news, worldwide crises or controversial social issues.
• Sport: Articles discussing athletes, sports teams or sports matches.
• Science: Articles discussing scientific studies or information.
• Bizarre: Articles discussing oddities that do not fit within another category.
• People: Articles about celebrities, or observations about society.
• History: Articles discussing history.
• Health: Articles discussing health related subjects, such as exercise and illnesses.
• Nature: Articles discussing animals, plants, weather or natural environments.
• Biographies: Articles that specifically discuss the life of a person or the history of a musical artist.
• Literature: Articles that analyze a work of literature. Different than book review.

Reviews

A review provides a critical analysis of some form of media. Reviews cannot simply be plot summaries; they must contain a decent amount of opinions and respectfully critique the media.

• Album:Reviews an album or CD
• Movie:Reviews a movie of any type (ie, big screen or youtube video)
• Book: Reviews any type of book, and also plays.
• DVD:: Reviews a DVD
• Game: Reviews any type of game, for PC, game consoles or other.
• Artist: Reviews a band, musician or visual artist.
• TV Show: Reviews any type of television programming

Tutorial

Tutorials are articles that explain to users how to do something. Tutorials must provide specific instructions on how to do something.

• Art: Tutorial discussing drawing, painting or crafts.
• Technology: Tutorials discussing computers, phones or other related fields.
• Graphic Design: Tutorials discussing photoshop, making banners or icons.
• Makeup: Tutorials discussing make up application.
• Fashion: Tutorials discussing hair and nail styles and clothing.
• Writing: Tutorials discussing writing advice.
• Music: Tutorials on singing and instruments.
• School: Tutorials on studying, making good grades and college tips.
• Recipes: Tutorials on cooking.
• Other: Tutorials on things that don’t fit anywhere else!

Magazine

Magazine articles are reserved for site staff who work for the magazine. Only authorized users can submit articles to the magazine, except for Reccs and Reviews. All Mibbians are welcome to submit story/poem recommendations.

• Mibba Life: Articles about Mibba users and site features
• From the Staff: Articles written by staff members reguarding important site information.
• Wide World of Writing: Informative articles about writing and authorship.
• Tips, Tricks and Prompts: Articles with writing tips and inspiration.
• Reccs and Reviews: Articles recommending works by Mibbians and published authors.
