Staff Update: Two Weeks After... - Comments

So, what the heck?! I have to make my own layout instead of just picking a pre-made one? What's up with that? Plus, to top off that off, the draft tab DOES NOT work! I was writing a chapter (almost completely done) and I had to get off the computer for a few hours. So, I clicked on the 'save draft' button, came back, and it wasn't there! Wtf. .-.

by the looks of things, i'm not alone in thinking these changes were not needed. the old mibba was far easier to navigate and much easier to edit stories and characters, for example. i don't see that these were needed. losing individual profile layouts, ease of navigation and the originality of mibba was not worth it. it looks like how mibba looked before it was the old mibba; with the awkward, childish image of a young girl reading and the complicated set up.

lols two weeks. i haven't read through all teh comments but i'm sure that somebody has already mentioned the fact that there's been a 'new mibba' in in works for years now? lmao i liike it though. I'm glad there is finally a new one!!

I agree with everyone else. The look of the site is fine, whatever. But what kills it for me, and this is what I love most about using Mibba, is the profile and story layouts. It's extremely difficult, period. Change those back please. You can hardly edit layouts or anything.

And is it just me or is the new site actually super slow?

There are some pros and cons to this.It is abit easier to navigate through,but it's so a little difficult once you get to where you want to be.Creating a layout is so much harder now,ex. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make my story title picture longer in height.Also wanting to change the font style,I have to put in bbc codes?This takes to much time then what it should.What I miss the most though was my profile layout.Creating your own layout gave all of us some original creativity.Now it's just bland and boring.This new layout for the site is so confusing and abit lacking of creative soul.Now it feels like every other website.So hate to say it but I'm with most of these guys,probably deleting my account.

It will be hard getting used to but I was having a problem with the story layouts. I went to fix the layout of one of my stories, and I saved it. I went to check it out, and it wasnt there. I made sure it was on custom. So I did it again. After three times, it was still not saved. Im really confused. Could you help?

I wasn't going to bash the new Mibba until I used it, it normal for us to automatically want the old one back. I really just can't get used to this new Mibba. The old one was perfect, I really don't like the new changes. It's harder to find my things, it's turning more into a facebook/twitter social network and less into a place where writer's can let their creative juices flow. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be on here. I know that a switch back to the old Mibba is out of the question, but I really wish it would go back to the way it was before...:(

The new layout looks fine, and is easier to navigate, but I really want the old one back. Now our profiles are boring and conformative, my freaking drafts won't work, and what was the need for a change anyways? We were already different, and it was great. Now what are you Mibba? A beta for Facebook that you can post some extra things on. If we don't change back to the old layout, or atleast get an option, add Farmville, why don't you? Are you willing to lose good writers and readers just to change a layout? I really don't understand.

New mibba is different, at first I was aprehensive, but I can't wait to sit down and learn everything about the new layout :)))))))))))))))))) It's like a mystery to crack although I'm a little confused now I'm sure that I'll get into the swing of things soon and this new layout will help me expand my writing in a new productive direction... Although I'm not sure if I'm into not having STARS for stories... I worked hard for my stars and now I'm not so sure about how this will go.

The new Mibba is starting to annoy me. I just noticed thatthe comments are showing up on the story page. I read on my ipod in the morning and now i can't because the words are being cut off. I guessyou guys should have done a trial run for us.

This is terrible please change it back . There was no need for change in the first place. Mibba use to be so unique . Come on for the sake of your users.

I'm sorry, but I actually hate the new Mibba. I think that the old Mibba was a million times better, and I might switch to a different online story website now that it changed. I liked having a profile layout, everything on this is a ton slower, and I really liked journals. I miss the old Mibba and this one is just a lot harder to navigate. Also, Mibba isn't Facebook, but right now it really seems like it is. Is it possible to change back to the old layout?

Really, really hate that the comments are now on the summary page. Can't you just keep it as it's own separate tab?

Why the hell are the comments on the story pages now? I'm sorry but that just looks ugly. This is Mibba, not Facebook.

Not too crazy aboyt the new mibba, mainly because my profile layout is gone and I loved that rainbow layout. T.T It's also a bit confusing, and the Characters page now has such Teenty tiny Pictures. Any way we can atleast get profile layouts back?

i dont really like the new mibba as my background on my profile page has gone and is very confusing to navigate arrrrrrg but i do say its good and i like it just too confusing but i do love the old mibba I miss it

I love the new Mibba. It's more very well organized but why not just put a tool bar where you post your stories? The BBcodes are very frustrating to me and I think it would be a lot more easier if there was a tool bar where you edit or add new chapters.
I was really hoping that the new Mibba would have that but since not I'm asking straight up for a lot of people if it could be added? And the right to indent too?
Or even A LOT more easier to just make it so that we can post our stories from the word documents that their from? But that's maybe asking a lot. Even just the tool bar would be helpful. ^^ Thanks for the big change though. Opens a lot more eyes to creativity.

I think that the new mibba looks good. It's different than the old layout, but I think that it looks really cool. :)

I'm sorry but I don't like the new Mibba at all. You said it was easier to navigate? I'm getting frustrated trying to find things. And what happened to all our individuality? Mibba used to just be a place where writers could come together and share stories. The new layout is I don't know chunky or something and very unappealing. I'm not just saying this because I am apposed to change, I'm saying this because the old Mibba was much more user friendly and it was simply better. I miss the old Mibba.

The layout is pretty good, but honestly, I really miss the old layout. Sure it's a bit easier, but I just loved the originality the old one had. Now it's just like all the other sites. I miss the old layout.
