Staff Update: Two Weeks After... - Comments

The layout is pretty good, but honestly, I really miss the old layout. Sure it's a bit easier, but I just loved the originality the old one had. Now it's just like all the other sites. I miss the old layout.

the new layout is a little easier to use, but all the profiles lack individuality and the girl on the banner is a little creepy, deffs make her smaller and make the words bigger

I can honetly say the new layout saddens me.
I was gone for only a week when I logged on today.
This new layout has sucked out EVERYTHING from what Mibba was! I just looks like a beta for Facebook now :/
Navigation is difficult, Profiles are boring and lack all the individuality they used to have.
You probably won't change it, but think about this; how many of your dedicated users are you willing to lose?
Make an option to use the old layout atleast.
Because I for one am tempted to delete my account and move.

Honestly, I think people are judging the new layout too fast. I'm having no trouble at all, on both my desktop pc and my laptop. Yes, some things are going to need tweaking but that is just how everything is when it gets changed. Instead of overreacting, try and get used of it. If you come across a problem, state your concerns instead of threatening to leave.

It would be nice to have the preview button and spell check back. The characters pictures are way to small. It be nice to be able to have our old profiles back. Once the tweaking starts, I really hope you guys keep the drafts thing. I LOVE that. It honestly make my life so much easier. I used to send myself stuff just so I wouldn't lose it. I don't like saving it on my computer because people like to delete my stuff.

I've been on Mibba for a few years and I love the old layout but I also love this one. Does it need some changes? Yes but I wont ever leave mibba just because a few things that can either get changed or gotten used to.

New Mibba sucks, kay?

Still no rich text function or a document uploader? Having to input the BBcode in every single instance in every single post is prehistoric. That should have been the very first update made to this site. It's basic functionality and I can't think of a writing site that is less user-friendly.

Also, what happened to the "preview" option before submitting? I see it on comments, but not stories. Now I have to submit just to see if I missed a stupid BBcode backslash or something, then reroute to the chapter post to fix it?

Sorry Mibba, you missed the boat here. The new layout is pretty, but I'm more interested in it taking less time to post. I'd like to have some time left to read other people's work too.

Because I havent really had a chance to mess around with the new layout yet, allow me to at least suggest this MAKE THE GIRL ON THE BANNER SMALLER...she is very distracting! Not to mention she's also bigger than the words 'Mibba - Creative Writing', that just isnt right.

Im a bit surprised there's no explanation to the number. Loving the recs though!

Another problem; someone commented on one of my stories it popped up as an alert. When I viewed it the alert didn't go away. It's still there though theres no alert. It's just sitting there...watching me o.o.

I don't like the new mibba either. The layout is really... chunky? It's not appealing to my eye. It feels too much like a more complicated version of facebook. The old layout was easier to navigate. It may just be because it's new and I have yet to warm up to it, but so far, I'm not a fan of the new layout either.

I usually use Mibba through my phone or my ipod and it takes longer to download on both.

I really liked the old stuff, it was easier to read and write and talk to people.
Plus I kinda got used to the old one and really liked it, it grew on me or whatever.
This is odd and it doesn't feel like mibba.
I'm considering deleting my account and looking for a new writing website.
This is just not as good, and I don't like it to be forward.

You should have an option button to allow people to go back to the original layout.

I'm not that fond of it, I miss my custom layout, and this is too weird, it's not easier or sumthing at all, it's more difficult than ever :(

I also liked how the forum was before.. I', literally sitting and shaking my head looking at this :(
I can't even change the damn picture on the profile I had to have.

Well, I liked the old one better, BUT I think I'm just saying that because this is new, and I'm not used to it. There were a lot of things I liked about the old one that aren't here, but other than that, I think I'll be fine with this one once I get the hang of it.

I hate the new mibba! Change it back, the design for this is terrible. I want my old profile back, and everything was easy to use now its just complicated! CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grrr! I saved a whole chapter onto the draft tab so I could keep working on it later, but when I came back to it, it said that nothing was there! How cruel!!! Now I have to spend an hour an a half again thinking about what I wrote! Bloody hell! >.< </3

Why aren't we getting email updates for the stories?! That's the only way I knew when a story was updated! I have over two hundred stories that I am subscribed to. How am I supossed to know when one is updated if I'm not emailed? I seriouly can't sit on my 'My Mibba' page every second of the day, just hoping it choses to tell me if a story has been updated. I've missed chapters of my favorite stories because of this. These new 'notifications' have not told me when stories have been updated, which angers me very much. Am I really expected to go through my subscription's list and look at EVERY SINGLE stor to see if it's been updated?

This is porposterous. I like the old mibba better. I am aware it's not likely for you to change it back, but could you at least give us our email subscriptions back, please?!
