Careless Whisper.’s Beginning of the End is an excellent original story of a futuristic America stricken by a terrible zombie apocalypse. As the virus spreads throughout the continent, conditions are becoming continuously worse for the survivors, two of which are Abigail and Allison. Beginning of the End follows the two girls as they attempt to survive in a post-apocalyptic land, where food is scarce and enemies are not. The friends soon learn how important they are to one another’s survival, and that the fight is never over.

Beginning of the End is written beautifully, with just the right mix of dialogue and description. The flow of the story makes it easier to follow and simpler to read. The writing style makes the plot more compelling, with a nice, continuous flow, and brings the characters to life.

Careless Whisper. makes excellent use of the third person omnipotent point of view by giving insight into the thoughts of each of the characters, which helps increase the reader’s attachment to the characters. Attachment leads to sympathy, and sympathy leads to a better story, which is obvious in this fiction.

Beginning of the End is not a one trick pony. The story also introduces many interesting and thought-provoking themes, giving the story a feeling that it is bigger than itself. Even though each reader may pull a different message from the story, it is clear that the story has many morals, including the importance of friendship and embracing one’s mortality.

Even though the story is rated R, it is extremely tame and has very little violence and gore, and a minimal amount of foul language.
