"Don't look at her."

We Don't Talk About Anna is ... well, it scares me. I'm not even being the 'well, she's a reviewer, she has to be a nice person' when I say that. I'm just being plain honest. It's a horror story, so of course, that's to be expected, but I honestly cannot read this story at night. Or when the sun has passed its mid-way axis in the sky by more than three degrees. It's that good.

The imagery and descriptions skinnylove. uses speaks volumes about just how well developed the characters and plot are in her mind. Yes, it may be fan fiction about Louis Tomlinson, but the setting and characterization makes it feel more like a movie than a spin-off than anything else.

Six-year-old Louis Tomlinson regularly visits his friend, Katherine, while his mother runs errands. On a trip over, he discovers a hallway that leads him to a locked room. Driven by an almost blinding curiosity, and despite the housemaid's desperate warnings, Louis finds himself outside this door late one night and discovers the 'ghost' that lies beyond it - Anna. Anna is, in all honesty, a mystery. Three chapters into this story and what Anna really is still isn't revealed. Is she human? A ghost? Or something worse?

Even if the presence of certain famous boy band members may discourage a few, the story itself is enough to warrant a sickening obsession that will make you check your subscriptions page again and again for an update.
