The white walls, long hallways, and empty waiting rooms of the hospital are things that Cassie Hayes has learned to embrace. Ever since her sister, Avela, was admitted to the hospital, she has spent most of her time there, waiting for her body to heal.

Cassie’s heart shatters every time she sees her broken sister, but she refuses to leave her side. She is determined to be there when her sister wakes up, no matter how long it takes.

On the opposite end of the hall sits a similar boy, waiting just the same as she is. Their stories are the same, but still so different.

When they meet by chance, bonding over a flamed cigarette, they find comfort in one another and their similar struggles. This boy, Tony Perry, comforts Cassie, while she does the same for him. He stays by her side, much like she stays beside Avela’s for as long as he can, only leaving her when his duties to the band come calling. It is clear from the beginning that Cassie and Tony have a bond that cannot be broken.

One Hundred Sleepless Nights is a new take on the old girl-meets-band-member tale. This story’s unique spin makes it stand out from other band fictions like it, and is sure to impress readers! I highly recommend this story to anyone who is a fan of Pierce the Veil.
