A club just for gay kids. I couldn't decide if that was a good idea or not. On one hand, it is a good way to meet students just like me and possibly make friends. I could get advice and tips and perhaps have plans for Friday nights. However, the on the other hand, it could potentially be disastrous. Tensions could run high and everyone might hate each other. Also, if word got out, we would be ridiculed and tormented, or some of us at least. There was also the possibility that somehow, relationships might develop and then before I know it, everyone is hooking up. Like, how did I know I wasn't being tricked into some kind of orgy or something?

Schools all across the world have set up extracurricular programs to help further students learning outside the classroom. Colleges say that the more you join, the better, and school counselors say that they make you a more well-rounded individual.

These extracurricular programs, better known as clubs, offer both learning experiences and friendships. They allow you to further your interests and meet more likeminded people. Clubs are like the blood pumping through a school’s veins, and they are vital to keeping the school system running, but not every club is sponsored by the school. There are some clubs that are underground, known only to those who are invited to become members. There are some clubs that are to remain secret – clubs like The Homo Society.

When Kingsley gets an email from the club’s leader, Declan Cooper, he almost brushes it off, thinking that it is nothing more than bad news. He knows that good could come of it, including new found friendships and tips for coping with being one of the few homosexuals at West Burrow High School, but he also realizes the bad that could come from it. There could be tension among the members. There could be relationships that would end up in drama. The whole thing could end up as one giant orgy. Kingsley knows that The Homo Society is a bad idea, but he saves the email anyway, forever saving the clubs meeting times and locations onto his hard drive, just in case.

Though The Homo Society has only just begun, I am already hooked on the potential drama and romance it has to offer. The entire piece is just brilliant, with a phenomenal concept, characters I am dying to see more of, and the perfectly elegant writing style of hephaestus.

I highly recommend this story to everyone, so the rest of Mibba can patiently await updates just as I am and continue to gush over the brilliant concept of a homo society.
