Wingman

Title: Wingman
Author: Katie Mosing

Genre: Romance | Drama
Rating: PG-13

Her lips felt too soft and warm for him to ever pull away, but of course, he had too, and so he did. He was reluctant to do it at first - fearful that he would never be able to feel that way again - but he mustered up every bit of courage he could and pulled away.

A wingman is a guy’s best friend. He gives him the confidence to go up and talk to girls, while at the same time giving him someone to fall back on in case he messes things up. Wingmen give guys the opportunity to throw caution to the wind, walk right up to that beautiful girl at the bar, and ask for her number, because a wingman never lets his buddy down. Wingmen are vital to picking up girls and Patrik Berglund knows that all too well.

Having been a wingman to his best friend and roommate, TJ Oshie, Patrik is used to watching TJ get all the girls. He doesn’t mind, though, and he’s happy to sit back and drink his beer while he watches TJ work his magic. If Patrik hadn’t laid eyes on Kylie, he may have been a wingman for the rest of his life, but as soon as he talks to the beautiful girl, he knows it’s time to drop his wingman act and step out of TJ’s shadow.

Wingman is a fantastic fan fiction, chronicling the very possible story of a night out at a bar that leads to so much more. This story, finished at just six chapters, is a fantastic read that is perfect for anyone looking for a little romance. I highly recommend to everyone, even those who aren’t fans of hockey!
