"Lighting up a cigarette, she shakily breathed in after bringing it to her lips. Taking a long and satisfying drag, the smoke that filled her lungs sent the usual wave of ease upon her. 'Yeah, Steve,' she murmured to herself, the tears once again beginning to build up. 'Those were the glory days.'"

It's the Second World War and everyone is doing their part. Bridget Spencer is doing her own part by dancing for her country and helping advertise defense bonds. Steven Rogers, being turned away from entering the battlefield even after undergoing the super soldier serum, is still not discouraged from trying to find a way into the war, and his ticket in is donning a patriotic costume and the name of Captain America.

Bridget and Steve have a history that goes back to their elementary school days, and unknowingly to the other, they both developed crushes on the other. Now, meeting each other through chance, both can't help but remember their past feelings and begin to slowly act upon them. Bridget and Steve's feelings are deepening by the day, and when Steve leaves in Italy on a rescue mission for Bucky and other soldiers, Bridget's left worrying for his safe return.

Months pass, and when he returns to Brooklyn to mourn Bucky's death, the two are reunited with the help of Peggy Carter. With their reunion, their love continues to grow stronger. The only thing on Bridget's mind now is what will happen when Steve leaves to fight the good fight once more.

The Glory Days is one of the most romantic Steven Rogers fictions on Mibba, with writing that captivates the reader and transports them back to the era that was the 1940s. Cory.'s use of words allows the reader to experience every feeling the characters share and shows how life between two people in love during the 40s was. If you enjoy reading about the Captain and have a soft spot for different eras, this marvelous fiction will not disappoint you.
