weird you say that because that's almost the exact conversation i had with my friend. he was all "sarah, we need to find you a boyfriend" and i'm like "uhhh it's not that easy."

then he goes off on how easy the girl has it, but we really don't. granted, a girl could ask a guy out, but it's just not my style haha. guys are so dense, it's impossible to know what they're thinking. like you said, at least with girls - we know what we want.

well, that's good that he like you two. it's more of a start than i have hahaha!

see for me, it's not so much that i'm in love with my best friend i guess as the fact that I know we should be the ones together, you know? he's been with his girlfriend for a year, but he's even told me about how he likes being around me more than her. and bleh, it's confusing as hell.

as far as the interracial thing. i can't imagine it being a long-term problem if you two want to be together. they'll accept it.

So, your update asks how you know you're in love with someone.

I'd have to say that it's when you don't even look at other guys, they just don't intrest you. When you just want to BE with that person, simply being around them is all you need. They're all you think about, as cliché as it sounds, but it's true. And it doesn't matter how long you've 'liked' this person, or whatever. You said it was your best friend, and who better?

I was head over heals for my last boyfriend, and it was obvious to everyone. He said he loved me first, so it wasn't all me in the relationship. We went through a lot of shit, he did a lot of stupid things that prompted my friends and family to really not like him, and ultimately break up with him. But I knew i was totally in love with him because I would have done anything for that boy, and that's how I knew.

Hopefully my pathetic story was some form of advice for you :)
