No girls played on our high school team; they'd choose field hockey instead. Our high school team wasn't a club sport, but now at the college level, unless you're on the main campus, it is club only.

I can't really say our high school players were like that, but they sucked bad. A lot of us that were into the sport would give them shit about it everyday because they thought they were God's gift to the world when in reality they wouldn't even make it to the college level. And where I am in college right now, we only have a club hockey team so I don't even get to work around those guys.

You just completely got her personality in a nutshell. All of the stories I read usually have the girl rely on the guys or be somewhat of a weak individual. That just doesn't fly around here. :P
