The mind is complex. Technically since they're mated, yes, both Cori and Carson can get into each other's minds. But they can also put up mind blocks to hide the thoughts that they don't want each other to know. Those blocks could be broken down, but it would take a lot of time, effort, and it would be painful for both parties to do so. So that's why most of the time if Cori or Carson has a mind block about something I just leave it be. They cause each other enough grief and strife without making each other's brains bleed, lol.

yeah, eventually, like in one of the sequels I'm planning to do for Runaway Justice, Wade and Katie will get together romantically. Even though he's eleven years older than her.
