I figured that since it was my first jersey I would get a Crosby one. I REALLY want a Michalek one I love him as a player. Well I love all the players but I think he's awesome.

I've been good busy with work. AND as of 5 minutes ago, I ordered my winter classic penguins jersey AND then added a winter classic teddy bear to the order because it was so cute. I have an empty bank account but definately i good birthday present for myself.

Just read tea for two update... I thoroughly enjoy Jordan's point of view. I like how this story is progressing, not too fast but not at an absolute standstill either. I especially liked that little special mention you added in too, made me feel all special.
My female friends think hockey is stupid too and can't understand why I like the sport. Whereas, I can't understand why people think its stupid.

I didnt go on exchange to france unfortunately, I went to a french speaking island called Reunion which is in between Mauritius and Madagascar. Unbelievably beautiful but much like perth has no winter. It did however have a volcano that was active when I was there.
You are lucky to have friends to talk to about hockey. I assume even though they've moved away that you still keep in touch with them. Were they fellow female fans?

If its any consolation, if i was your mother i would be very proud that you arent more of a girl. Girliness is overwhelming at times. Lol. Dressing up and looking pretty is fun. But sometimes sitting at home watching sports and not giving a shit about what your eating is fun too.

well that'll be an amazing birthday present. your birthday is in feb? mine is too but mine is the 4th so last year i declared me buying the winter olympic package on foxtel to watch the games my present.
montreal would be beautiful but something pulls me to quebec city more. i learnt french all through high school and even went on exchange but i havent spoken it since. im hoping to pick it up this year again.
dual citizenship? well arent you lucky? that just makes everything so much easier. thats why i want to live in canada, i've looked at what i need to do to emigrate to both countries and the us just seems sooooo complex. so i think i'll just visit instead.

it definately is nice to meet a girl who likes hockey, its horrible that i have NO friends even guys who dont like it or understand it. im sure its the same for you but atleast you have your dad.
im happy i get the chance to go to an aihl game now. i moved recently from perth and there isnt really much in terms of hockey over there.

i wish they played more games too. we have to be very dedicated to be hockey fans in this country. im hoping i can go watch a few aihl games when the season starts. i know its not nhl but its still hockey. what sucks is its so hard to watch the games they do play. cant watch the live ones because of work and then the replays are on at one in the morning!!! i have to tell you getting up that early is brutal but i still do it especially if its a chicago, pens or rangers games. with the lack of games they air i thought it would be in my best interest to have a few fave teams.
pittsburgh?! really?! i am so jealous. i would love to go to pittsburgh. my dream is to go to canada and maybe move there so im trying my hardest to save for that but life sometimes gets in the way. anyways canada is the dream and im purposely planning on roaming around canada and some of the us. deliberately bypassing chicago and pitts where i can hopefully go to a game. i will sit way in the back as long as i can go. just to be in that environment surrounded by all those other people who are as obsessed with this amazing sport. that roller hockey sounds amazing, i wonder if they have anything like that here in bris? well maybe not now after everything.... and i might definately have to take you up on that apartment offer. but only if its in pitts and involves a hockey game and whole night spent discussing hockey because i unfortunately have no one to discuss it with. and thats what i want to do more than anything.

oh god . well even though they lost their homes atleast they didnt lose their lives. im glad they're safe. im glad im safe. i hope they find they guy who is missing in your town. the problems with floods is how uncontrollable it is. you cant stop a flood atleast with a fire you know that you can tame it at some point.
oh its so refreshing to have another aussie who loves hockey and appreciates it as a sport and not nessecarily how good looking some players are. (thats just an added bonus) im dont stream the games it would make my internet bill far too expensive so i rely on fox sports. were you as happy as i was when they played the winter classic? then as disappointed when they lost? im getting a pens jersey for my birthday so im soo excited. the pens are my favourite team, they were the first team i watched.... im borderline obssessed with the sport, if i find anything to do with hockey i'll buy it. haha i even bought hockey for dummies just cos it was about hockey and suprisingly a really good read haha. are you hoping they'll play the all star game?

hey just read the latest update for tea for two which i absolutely love. partly beacause i love your writing and partly because im slightly obsessed with tea. just wanted to comment because i read your bottom comment about the floods and i was wondering if you were safe or if you were affected by the floods at all and that your safe. i live here in brisbane and the last week has just been so scary and horrible. im 2 mins from suncorp stadium and have been so lucky and not had my house flooded. but its been one hell of a week fearing if im going to evacuate and constantly been on the phone to family overseas and interstate telling them ok. man, some of the stuff thats happened and that we've seen is just heart wrenching.

You know I will!!! We're actually going to get him skating on the Rideau Canal, which is just the largest skating rink in the whole wild world, and yes, we're lucky enough to have it right in our backyard!!! God I love being Canadian some times!!!!

I'm glad you like my Geno fic! I started writing it because I was looking for good fic with Geno. But they all the good ones were way short and left me wanting more. And the longer ones I just couldn't get into. So, I figured if I couldn't find one, then I needed to write one.
