"Silent Whisper"

I was trying to convey the way a person who's left your life- in any way - still lingers in a ghostly sort of way. How you can still feel a touch, hear their voice, see their face and drown in the memory of them.

I was actually about to fall asleep when this popped into my head. I was thinking about romances that are lost because one person decides that no matter what, the other isn't in their future - love or no.

I'm pretty sure I started to write this just to play with words, but the more I wrote it, the more I felt I was writing from the point of view of a guy who loves to make his lover cry. He finds the sight of her tears somewhat intoxicating.

It's basically a poem about a man/boy walking away from a woman/girl who did everything she could to love him. She pretty much made him her world, only to have him walk away and shatter that for some unknown reason, leaving her devastated.
