Oh and If you have any questions about anything, let me know!
Well, I plan on working my butt off the next two years. Since I'm back at home I have to find work, and since I'm starting late, I'm taking Fall, Winter, Spring, and possibly summer classes. I know a woman (married, two kids, job) who took the community college route, and she didn't have a problem with it. Besides, it gives me a chance to be around people of all different ages instead of just a certain range. Second times always a charm for me.
I'll try and get around to Dorian, and I let you know when I finish. :)
You know, I bought "The Picture of Dorian Gray" a couple of years ago, and I never made time to read it. I really should though.
I only knew a handful of people, and the only good friend I had ditched me for two days straight. And I'm not extremely sociable. I had hoped she'd stick around until classes started, but she didn't. Even then, the other people I knew were always busy. I figured I'd just go back home, start over somewhere comfortable and transfer to one of the closer colleges after I get my basics.
I don't think articles take that long to be reviewed. Stories are a different situation.
I graduated high school, and I start at community college in October. I decided to skip out from the big university I was enrolled at; I could see I didn't fit as well as I thought. So now I'm starting over, and starting late.
Ah, see that's where you get me. I'm not one for essays. I'm academic and all, just not enough to sound extremely intellegent. But it's good to see a difference in forum posts, we could use some more input in the more philosophical and academic areas.
Haha, well all the while I was reading it, I was really just trying to figure Chris out. Just.. what was he really like? So I underlined passages and wrote in the margins. :)
Oh, my. That's a tough question. Honestly, I only brought one free reading book with me to college this year besides the Bible. And though I've only read one book by Jon Krakauer, I'd have to say he is thus far my favorite. No book has ever gotten and kept hold of my attention like 'Into the Wild'. My writing is all over that book.
Eventually, the story will contain events that didn't happen 100%, but were inspired by my life. I'll leave it up to the imagination of the reader to decide what actually happened to me and what only halfway happened to me.
Thanks! It's actually, thus far, a pretty true story about recent events in my life. Of course, the whole thing won't be a true story. If it were, it would end up being pretty boring. :)
