Yeah, I was debating about adding that in and not, and decided just to do it because of the plot twist, and also to make the reader's head spin a little. :)

I kind of hate deviantArt, but I might just post a few up here that I've already uploaded on Facebook. The majority of my work ends up crumpled or thrown out, since I don't care enough about it to preserve anything, but I have a few good ones lying around. Mind stopping by the anthill?

AWH! Thank you, so much! <3 I usually don't plan on making my stories that sad, but they make people sad anyway. lol Just happens. xD I'm writing the next update currently. It should be up . . . I don't know when. I've really fallen behind on my writing. :/ I'd usually have at least two or three chapters done by this time. Ah. Oh well.

Well, I'm more into it for the art aspect, but I can see where you'd meet a block in terms of the clothing style. My own dieselpunk is really just doodling, as I can't really find the time to just sit down and draw like I used to. Some of my more expanded ones are pretty good, though. I just doodle in it all day in school. xD

Maybe you don't even have to give this girl a name. Since you're writing this in dedication to a friend, perhaps, instead of following your friend's experience exactly, you could make a story individual to itself and, I suppose, relatable to anyone suffering through self-destruction. I believe you already have an amazing story line; you're characters are more than believable, and the conflict is this girl's self-destruction itself. I don't think you'd take away from your original purpose to write this to a friend if you made a story unique in and of itself, telling about a teenage girl's course through pressure from peers and family, and how she deals with it.
On another note, I really do enjoy this story. I hope you continue writing it. I love to read it and I believe it's probably the most realistic and honest piece of literature I've found on this site, considering.

Well, my role is basically any odd jobs that need to be done. One day I'm a janitor, the next I have to be a one-ant guarding force. It's very dangerous, of course, but I'm more than capable due to the Genetically Awesome Factor. (GAF) But still, I was no match for a flip-flop coming down with enough force to casually crush the anthill. You're right; carelessness is like a plague.

Just drifting in and out of existence, so nothing much to complain about. The life of an ant is a tedious one, however. You should go on the Chat once in a while.

He's not much for talking, actually. It's just that he must talk before the thoughts make him explode. The thoughts build up; they overstay their welcome. Everything must go.
