See, this is exactly what I mean.
And anyway, I'd rather be a brat than a conceited fool.

Oh look, I can use big words and harsh language too.

So when did my beliefs come into question? I have though a lot about what I believe in and I know exactly what I do believe and what I don't. I just don't feel the need to slander every other religion.
I'm not trying to prove to you that a God or Gods do exist, far from it. I'm trying to point out that you're being unneccessarily harsh on people who do believe in a higher being. Since when did having faith make someone a moron? There a plenty of good things about religion. Before you go calling me ignorant maybe you should re-evaluate yourself. You have also yet to make a point that's well informed or thoughtful. Like I said you've used stereotypes to prove that the church and religion are bad, and no one's convinced.
Why don't you stop bad mouthing people and try and see where they're coming from?

You can worship me if you really feel the need, all you have to do is share a pack of 'Nice' biscuits with someone. ^^

Well actually, it's true. If I remember correctly there are over 100 peices of evidence proving the existence of Jesus while there is around 10 that prove Ceasar existed.

I'm not questioning you being pro-choice, I probably used it in the wrong context but it just seems like you think anyone who doesn't agree with you is stupid. And you seem to be doing more then pointing out that you don't like religion, you use gross over-exaggeration and stereotyping to prove your point. I've also noticed you don't take criticism too lightly, you say that you're being hassled by people who are part of a religious doctrine and are brainwashed. To be honest, you're kind of asking to be hassled.

I'm in no way questioning your right to freedom of thought and speech. I just think you should remember that other people also have that right. Until you can prove them wrong with actual evidence then you should stop being so harsh.

yeah i know what you mean, I sorta feel like a dero agreeing with almost everyone for once on something lol. I've done a fair bit on the death penalty in the past, so i've sort of made up my mind. For a while i was pro though, but times change i suppose. it's just too big a step, a punishment not fit for the crime i guess

haha anytime, it's almost funny to watch how niggly people get when you even MENTION christianinty - let alone if one was to try and point things out about it that don't fit in with that little (and co-incidently) black book lol.

    However...

I completley agree with you on the religious-consumerism article [and more], but as for the capital punishment one, not so much. It all seems so, dunno what the word i'm looking for is, "in a perfect world" sort of situation. So, "in a perfect world" we'd only convict guilty people, "in a perfect world" we would be able to make the right decisions on who could live and who would die, which is all fine i guess. But if we are talking about the 'perfect world' scenario, none of this would be an issue.
Im very tired so this probably isnt up to standard, but write back anyway. I'll wake up soon lol

What if your kid comes back from school and ask you who Santa Claus is? Will you just come out and say 'he doesn't exist, your friends have been brainwashed into thinking he does'?
Or if they ask who God is, or why there's cartoons of a baby being born at Christmas time?
Would you still keep them in the dark then?

I'm not trying to change your opinion, I'm just trying to understand the reasoning behind it.

I will have to respectfully disagree. I don't believe that it is ever justified in taking another persons' life. Not to mention the gross human rights violation, or the risk of murdering someone who is innocent.
