It's not that they're against Brian exactly. It's just that they want Lexi to know what she's getting into with Brian because no one wants her to be hurt. Brian had a bit of a man whore repuration before he fell for Lexi.

No one ever gives Johnny the spotlight haha. You don't really see him in this story, but he has a huge role in the sequel. I wanted him to get his share of the limelight.
