As always, thank you for commenting :) To answer your question about Wesley: Rather than being afraid that Aerys will follow in her grandmother's footsteps, he wants her to cultivate it and use it to his family's advantage. As you said, he has a family to protect. Aerys' feelings on the matter will be revealed in the next chapter or two.

Oh my goodness! I swear you just made me SO happy! I actually have thought about publishing this in print, but I feel like I've posted so much of it online, that could never be. I could take it down and not post the rest, with a notice to all of my faithful readers of what was going on, but I feel like that would lead to as large of a revolt as having Aerys run off with Giacomo XD
Thank you for taking the time to write such a long comment! I'm pleased to have surprised you, although I do feel the need to clarify--Dmitri started out without discouraging Yekaterina to make Aerys jealous, but he never intended for things to get so out of hand. By the time he actually said something to Yekaterina about it, she had already made up her mind that she could get him, somehow, and so things spiralled out of control.
I'm glad that someone else likes Giacomo, too. He's one of my favourite characters, out of all the characters I've ever created, and I feel kind of bad about the situation I've put him in. He deserves better.
I've started the next chapter and will post it as soon as I finish it. As always, thank you for your support and your faithful comments. It means more than you know.

An interesting question. I haven't really thought about whether any of the residents of Grandmother's summer chateau will be making another appearance, other than Xenia and Aerys' grandfather. When I figure it out, I'll let you know. In the near future, there are other problems to worry about, specifically your concerns regarding Aerys and Giacomo. I will not tell you anything about that except that it will all become clear in time. Thank you for your continued support, in spite of my antics. Everything will work out, that much I promise.
