That happens to me a lot.
An idea comes and bites me in the butt and my mind goes nuts thinking of the introduction and rising action. But even after i put my mind to all that work i didn't write it down. It is probably because i'm too lazy to go and type, or perhaps it is because i know that if i start another story i won't finish the one that i was working on previously.
