As long as you knwo Katakana, your okay. The Japanese use that alot. Do not worry. Hiragana is important, but you can try that. Kanji is not even important, it is a Chinese based Japanese, and is quite confusing and complicated. So, as long as you know Katakana, your okay!!!! ^.^

I know Hiragana, Katakana, and about 500-700 Kanji D: I need to know like 2000 to be literate. I need need to stop being lazy and study.. once I finish my smoothie here... well.. i considered bringing all 3 of us in a room in the beginning, but if that were to happen, Iggy would just stay real quiet and me and Steven would be doing most of the talking.. <.< And I've already made my choice, i'm just having trouble coping with it.. as for your love triangle issue.. i definitely think you should go with the guy you actually like. you're friends are probably just thinking the other guy is better for you because you see a different side of the guy you like. but once you tell them who you want, if they're real friends, they should completely understand and support your choice (: tell me how it goes when you decide to pick someone (:
