Oh, hey, no problem. The curiosity added to the entire appeal of the tale. With short stories, character depth isn't as important, you know? =] It was very skillfully written, and I'll have to check out more of your scribbles to see if they're just as appetizing. ^^

I was excited to finally get it out!

A million football movies made that chapter happen, from the speech to the game itself!

I also really wanted to get Carmindy's voice out there too, just so no one thinks she's some voiceless cheerleader after Sparks.

(As it goes for Football, Friday Night Lights is classic!)

I'm a Pol Sci Specialist... I feel like the only difference is that it sounds cooler than being a Major. I mean, if there were a huge political fiasco in your city, would you rather have a Major or a Specialist?

I'm not amazing at impromptu speeches, but I do love to argue! If I can't convince someone to believe in what I'm trying to say, I'm pretty confident that they'll at least believe that I believe in what I'm saying... which is good and bad. It makes for some hilarious debates.

How do you put Medical Coding and Political Science together? I don't even know where to start with that!

Medical coding? Well let me be the first to tell you that "Medical Coding" is the only term you can Google, research and come out of it all even more confused than you were when you started. What is Medical Coding?

That sounds like a lot of Arts and Science students over here... I'm horrible for procrastination, but I kick myself in the ass at least two days before it's due and get myself together! 4am... that's just impressive. Did she finish?

It's good that there's so much room for opinion, but you also meet a lot of assholes and people who are just plain crazy! There's always going to be that one guy that can get up there and say: "I think we should feed our cows with strawberries and get a one up on the strawberry milk market." and make it sound pretty

Oh dear god. You're a Medical Coder and, because it has the word 'medical' in it, I'm lead to believe that you know a thing or two about diagnostics too...
And that means I'll have to know what I'm talking about with this whole 'sickness' thing.

No worries, no worries, no worries, no worries!

    Anatomy? What's your major/minor/specialist?

Thankfully my Somalia paper is done! I basically threw it at my TA when he asked for them back. It was an interesting topic, but I feel like no one in the field of Political Science really knows what they're doing and it's just some constant battle of "I'm right, you're wrong, deal with it." (which sometimes requires nuclear warfare to get the message across).
I left all of my sourcing until the last day and so I skipped lecture and ran to tutorial after sixteen hours of just plain sourcing! It killed me!

Barbosa is so frustrating. I don't even know what to say about him, especially going between the two stories. From Whatever It Takes, you just kind of think "Okay, he was an ass, but he's sorry- so I feel bad for him", but then from this new one, you kind of start to understand how horrible he was to her.

Two hours!? Okay, I lied, maybe you ARE overanalyzing :P
This next chapter might take me a little longer than normal though, because, seriously, I know nothing about football. The only reason I had the idea to write a story about it was so that I could learn about it for cheerleading. (Not that I'll need to do much cheering because U of T tanks at football... Wost college team in Canada, don't you know?)
Anyway, I've been watching football games and football movies trying to figure out plays. Actually, I've been watching a lot of Alabama's old game tape and McElroy is a kickass QB in real life! (National Championship QB too)

You know what? When I lose another subscriber, I'm going to quote you on that so that my ego comes out as great as Barbosas!

I feel you on the course bit! I have a paper due in a few weeks for a Pol Sci tutorial and I'm really not motivated to write it. I keep having to pull myself away from this story and focus on the UN in Somalia (Which is extremely interesting, but it doesn't come as naturally to me as this storyline does).
Are you in university too? I won't ask where, if that's creepy or anything.
And, girl, you need to study! Get off of Mibba and hit the books!

I know that if I ever became a superfan, I would have the dirtiest mouth and I would be so competitve and over-the-top, but I definitely wouldn't get racist or sexist about it. I see where they're coming from with the whole "it's science" thing- I guess you could say I grew up in a place along those lines, but it's crazy how much they love their football.
They put so much expectation on these players who are in highschool - 16/17 tops- they idolize them, bad mouth them or worship them depending on the game and it's like they get a free pass through all else because they play football.
The school budget thing is also true too, but I guess in places where football is "all they have", they wouldn't see anything wrong with that.

There's this song I heard on a TV show (Friday Night Lights) that inspired the entire story. I absolutely love it (I'm a sucker for the acoustics) and I definitely think that you should give it a listen.

Haha! The whole season in two chapters. That would take skill... or just two really, really long chapters. The chapter thing is a little strange for me though, because, for some reason, I have this feeling that once you get over a certain amount of them, it just kind of becomes a "run on story" type thing, you know? Like those stories that have like 78 chapters and counting.

"Great Art". I'm going to have to remember that one.

I don't know about the subscriber thing. Obviously the fact that it gets to me just proves that I'm overreacting. I mean, I try to update often enough.. and I feel like I've been pretty good at it, but things always come up! I have no idea why I did summer classes.

This whole "football before life" thing they've got going on down there is so above me. That's what the entire Jackson thing solidified and, no, you aren't reading into anything too critically! Sounds like you're on the ball with this whole thing!

Santana really is something special. I think she deserves to be happy.

You know, when I start anything, I always ballpark 20... I don't even know why, but 20 just seems like a good number to go with. Honestly, have no idea how many chapters there will be. I know how everything's going to end already, but I don't know how long it's going to take for Kherington, Dan, Santana, Barbosa and Bubak to get there.

Believe you me, there will be drama for everyone, but it all really goes full-circle by the time the end rolls around!

Well, no! You don't have to do that- I didn't mean for it to come across like that! It sucks about the comments thing, but I'll get over it!
(I lost my first subscriber though! That was just a personal blow, right there!)
And I mighty appreciate that you like it so much. I put a lot of time into it.

(As I write this story, I start incorporating the southern drawl into my everyday speech. All of my friends think I'm such a dork when I say "y'all")

You know who I miss? Jackson. He was just such an asshole, but I'm glad Santana's back in the picture.

Oh, their relationship! I like it the way it's headed.

I don't really know what's going on with this whole feedback thing...people don't like it, I guess?

What's crazy about it though is that if this were to happen in a place like that, she probably would be turned away from restaurants. Especially in small town Texas. I've been doing some crazy research and those people really like their football!

Thank you so much for reading and commenting<3

I know people are like that:) It's so sad:/ I've been doing a little research (for the story) and the disease is a Factious disease, the ones I'm representing in the story are Munchausen Syndrome and Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome...and I'm going to throw a little small-scale bioterrorism in, haha. I'm really only picking those sort of subjects so I won't get bored with the story:D

Oh, and I totally think you should do a JulNoWriMo! Even if it did take more than the month allotted:) But I love those sort of things, because I feel like I've accomplished something, haha. Again, thank you soooo much!

It's crazy because they actually get that hyped up about football down there!
I'm just throwing this out there, but at my school we suck at football, so there's not really much to it- but Alabama (in real life) won the NCAA national title (so they're kind of a big deal). A lot of people think their program runs like that... not that they rape people, but that they're more concerned with their QB1 and the talent on their team over everything else.
Saban is a great coach though.

In the story... Alabama's full of cocky-ass footballers, isn't it? I kind of like writing them though because I always think - "I hope to god somewhere in the world idiots actually think they're so amazing" (which has to be true somewhere!)

It felt good going back to Kherington again! I didn't want her to be down for too long, but that's definitely a lot to go through and not be affected.

HAHA, thank you for that last bit too- that's heavy stuff! I really appreciate that though, recognition is hard to come by, I guess, but I like that everyone who's reading it now seems to like it just fine!

I might go getting as cocky as those Alabama players if you keep telling me that!
