• Thank you for sticking with HCIP from 2009 to 2011 :D Wow has it really been that long? LOL and thank you for the link on your profile, too :)

• Ha ha, thank you. I like being detailed, nit-picky and somewhat ridiculous in my comments. It's an odd mix, but I love doing it.

Oh, wow. You're quite the experienced actor. You make me feel like I've hardly done anything, ha ha. Erm, I did a lot of stuff. I started acting in elementary school with whatever plays we were able to do. I've wanted to be an actress since I was three, actually, when I saw my sister play Wendy in Peter Pan in her middle school play. My first real play was in sixth grade, when I performed as a "Lady in Waiting" (also known as a chorus member) in Once Upon A Mattress. Then, in seventh grade, we did Mulan, Jr. I received a slightly larger role where I got a small solo. Also, when the lead decided not to show up to rehearsal two days before the show, I played the part out of my director's sheer panic. I did horrible, ha ha. I don't think they ever forgot how horrible it was because I never ended up with a lead in middle school. In eighth grade, we did Willy Wonka, Jr. I played Mrs. Bucket on certain nights, which meant I got to sing and act a bit, and then I played Grandma Georgina on other nights. My part was double casted with my best friend, actually, so that was fun.

Okay, that paragraph was getting a bit too long, ha ha. In the summer before eighth grade, a new community theater was established for kids in middle school through high school. We started out with Grease where I was just a chorus girl with a small solo. The next summer, we did The King and I where I played an Amazon. In that part I didn't really do any acting or singing, I just stood in the background and looked cool while guarding the doors, ha ha.

So, in my first year of high school, I finally landed a lead with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee where I played Olive Ostrovsky. It was a really great experience to work with the other, more experienced high school kids and directors. It was just a lot of fun and it really established the fact that I wanted to be an actress, you know? So now, I'm doing The Music Man with that summer theater group I mentioned and I play Ethel Toffelmier. I get to sing, act, and dance a bit solo. It's a secondary part, but she's really fun to play!

Whew, I must have just taken fifteen minutes away of your life, I'm sorry. Oh, and happy sixteenth! I hope you have a wonderful birthday and have a big party with all the presents you want, ha ha. I don't think I should write anymore about myself, because I already wrote you an essay, ha ha. So what else have you been up to?

• Hola! I'm still alive! And I am no longer searching for the rubric, for I see no point. I'll just have to organize everything in my mind. It shouldn't take too much longer to finish up the contest, but you know how long it takes me to write out those comments I make, ha ha.

Nice! Another theater buff like me! What kinds of parts have you played? Right now I'm in a local production of The Music Man in which I play Ethel Toffelmier, one of the Pickalittle Ladies. I actually really hope to go into theater when I grow up.

My finals were all pretty decent, ha ha. I didn't fail anything, which is good news. So how has your summer been so far?
July 10th, 2010 at 01:40am
• Yeah, I've read most of the stories, too. It's just a matter of finding my rubric so that I can score them in an organized fashion, ha ha. Otherwise I don't think it will be fair, really...

I did have a part in the musical, actually. I received one of the lead roles in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - I played Olive Ostrovsky. It was my first lead, and it was super fun! Have you done any plays or musicals before?

I'm not quite into summer yet, actually. I have two finals left, and then I'm free. How's your summer going? Have you gotten out of your "all I can do is sleep" stage, ha ha?

• IMPORTANT UPDATE REGUARDING STORY CONTEST:

Hello, out there! I'm so sorry that it's been almost two months since the due date and I still haven't come up with a winner. The truth is, I've been so busy with my school's musical and my homework and such that I haven't really had time to work with the contest very much. Also, I seem to have lost the rubric I created for the contents, so I’ll have to find that sometime soon...

Still, once school starts dwindling down, I promise to go through each of the stories and write a detailed response with my thoughts for each of them. Once I go through the stories and give them each a grade out of one hundred (which you will not receive; I will only use that for purposes of choosing a winner) then I will be able to determine the grand prize winners.

I have also decided what the prizes are going to be once this contest is finished. Be excited! Here they are:

First Place: I will give the first place winner my own personal editing skills for one of their full length stories. The way that I do this is I let the winner send me a chapter at a time of their story, at their own pace of course. Then, I read the chapters as they come and send my edits and suggestions back. It’s really fun for me to do, so I’m really looking forward to this prize. Also, if the winner isn’t one for full length stories, I’ll be their beta for as many one shots as they want, instead.
Second Place: The second place winner will have a very similar prize to the first place winner in that I will beta three of their one shot stories in the same fashion as the first place winner.
Third Place: The third place winner will receive the opportunity for me to beta only one of their one shots.

I know that those sound like lame prizes, but that’s mostly what I can offer, ha ha. If you guys have any suggestions for prizes that you would enjoy more, please let me know! Also, I may have a few honorable mentions to accompany these grand prize winners.

So, there’s my update for you. Sorry that it’s about a page long; I never know how to wrap things up, really. Please message me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions! Thanks for your patience and good luck!

xx Lilyth

• I haven't been on in forever, and I'm so sorry! I just got caught up in my school musical and a hardcore AP test, but I'm pretty much back for the summer now! I also apologize about the one shot contest; I know I haven't worked on that forever, but it may take a little longer.

So, how have you been? =)
June 7th, 2010 at 01:40am
• I went to bed also ;P or I would have wished you sweet dreams haha.
May 25th, 2010 at 04:06am
• Mmm ya. I'm not really looking for a serious job. Just something local that'll give me cash for college and whatnot.

I have a meeting for summer counseling and classes on Monday. I don't know where you live or whatever but where I live basically all our school funding went bye-bye. So now NONE of the local high schools have summer school programs. So I have to go to a college or like a really crappy high school that's way out of town. /:

• ME TOO! I'm trying to get a job at the local book store but I haven't had much luck really. Other than that I'll probably take a summer course to get some credits out of the way.

• I like the new layout too!

There's only like 2 weeks until summer. :DDD
do you have any special plans?

I'm Kayte, btw. Idk, just in case you didn't know (:
May 22nd, 2010 at 05:15am
• Thanks! I amped up the the layout too :P

Ohhh me too! I can't wait. I'm going to have days where I just sit around and write away and don't have to worry about neglecting school haha.

• I'm really good actually! Secrets of Emerald City got nominated for PF's one-shots like...yesterday. So I was stoked about that.

How are you?
