Yeah, I know. It's like WOW.

I think I picked the right cartoon.
After that she made us [i]draw[/i] our own. I'm not really artistic; I can barely draw stick people. Anyway, I did one satirizing the No Child Left Behind Act, and it turned out okay.

I keep telling myself that I hate math (it honestly does drive me crazy) and should pursue languages, but I dunno.
And indeed. The characters would be hard. I want to learn Chinese just for the fact that there's so many Chinese people. (They all at least [i]write[/i] the same language.) Hindi's different though. I just want to learn it to learn it.
Did I mention I also think it would be interesting to learn Navajo?

Oh, she didn't grade him harshly. It was supposed to be an easy grade to balance out all the hard tests she gives, so she gave us all a 100.
But she did rare him out.
Oh, that seems like an interesting cartoon. I just got mine off the Internet. There were a bunch of people representing all these different countries standing around. Uncle Sam was sneezing; he had the flu. And it was spreading to all the other countries in the world. It represented the downfall in the economy.

Yeah, I've always wanted to learn Latin because many of our words come from it, but my school also doesn't offer it.
I'm all about languages though, so I didn't mind taking Spanish.
I also really want to learn German, Polish, Italian, Hindi, and (Mandarin) Chinese. Unfortunately, I see the last two as really hard. You know...the total switch to new letters.

I've never looked at the theory or what-not about fate. I just think it's a cool concept and not many people can grasp the fact that it is, so I love it :) It's unbelieveable, to me.

I haven't had net access for 3 days now, so it's okay (: I just spend from Friday to Sunday at my dads house, so yeah. I love it there. It's awesome.. Except he got some more land, and he had me picking up stupid sticks for most of Saturday to burn. lol.

Haha. Funny thing actually. I really made four in history and a three in English. Which is quite a surprise to me. I mean, I BSed my history exam that well? But I look at the bright side. I passed both, and at least now I won't have like a semester of S.S. to take.

I know what you mean. It's okay to push the envelope, but it's not okay to rip the envelope to shreads.
This last year when we were talking about the Age of Reason in English class, we had to bring in a political cartoon (you know...the whole satire thing). Well, this one kid brought in one about Barack Obama. It depicted him as a monkey or something, and our teacher was like "Is this supposed to be a racial slur?" and the kid's like "I think so." He's a supporter, so I don't think he meant it in a bad way. But the teacher still ranted on how wrong it was. And she had a point. I mean, we all had to do the assignment, right? And I overlooked all the [i]extremely[/i] satirical cartoons (I turned in one about the economy being like the flu.) because I didn't want to, on the offhand, offend anyone.

I almost wish I hadn't even thought about it. Now I can't [i]stop[/i] thinking about it. And comparing our language to others.

At my school there are two choices for foreign language: French and Spanish. This kid agreed with me on why to take Spanish. It's easier to learn, more people speak it, there aren't really any letters just thrown into words, etc. etc. But he took it one step farther. "I don't want to learn a language based on a 'blah.'"

Anyway...
