I think you're exactly right. Tragedy is something that we experience so often--with varying degrees, obviously--that it's almost like second nature to write about it. I actually find it a lot easier to write than happier, lighter stories. I guess I'm weird.

Dysfunctional families work [i]sometimes[/i], but one needs to know how to write them and develop them in a way that is natural and doesn't seem like one is trying too hard to make it look that way, if it makes any sense. I think that most families have little things that need a little fixing. You're right about Freddie's family, they're kind of all over the place on the outside. Inside, they get along pretty well. You'll see, hehe. >:D
